Meaning of man's number (666)

I was going to say maybe it is population number but I believe we have already past 6.66 Billion people now.

wow i never caught that. it could refer to either one man or all of humanity, and i haven't studied enough to know full details, but i'll try to look into it. thanks for the input. keep it up

Interesting you ask, there's some clucka on youtube who said he has cracked the code of "666" and will reveal it soon...

All i know is that if you add up all the numbers on a roulette wheel, the total is 666... The game has broken me a couple of times. With its allure of big payouts but off-set with the risk of big losses.

666 has yet another interpretation among Christian Mystic composers, not to mention some Biblical scholars not at all related to music.

The Seven Seals of judgment are a "nested" set of 6 within 6 within 6. Many surprisingly never notice that the Seventh Seal is in fact the Seven Trumpets, and that the Seventh Trumpet is in fact the 7 vials, and that the mysterious Seventh Vial appears to be the final judgment of God himself.

This structural interpretation is obvious in the works of Kristofer Emerig in his Seven Seals, Seven Trumpets, Seven Vials Cycles, employing this method of branching out into a new seven elements on each terminal, seventh element.

Man's Number, 666, almost seems in this light to embody or foretell God's judgment, as though man's fall and subsequent judgment are his destiny.

I always though that 666 was Lucifer's number based on Revelations 13:18

"Here is wisdom, let he that hath knowledge reckon the number of the beast, for it is a human number, and that number is six-hundred threescore six"


Being that, humans invented the numbering system, so "a human number" or that "a human number" would mark the Antichrist which would be in essence the same thing?

I do not claim to be a theologian by any stretch but that is what i always took away from that passage.

I think that because the prophesy is such that most men will be under the sway of the Anti-Christ, with only a few righteous among them, the clear differentiation between man's number and the beast's number might be an unnecessary, if not meaningless one. In the end-times, man, in the majority, succumbs to the beast, and God's wrath is appropriately levied at that majority.

6 is significant in that it is just short of 7, which represents God and perfection. 6 might therefore be thought of as incomplete, imperfect, or flawed.

What I wanted to point out is that 6 is significant, and not accidentally so, as a structural element of Revelation. Six Seals, then Six Trumpets nested within the Seventh Seal, then Seven Vials nested within the Seventh Trumpet. Even the last Vial seems to stand apart, in my reading. A voice from the throne declaring "It is done". Hence 6-6-6. Accident or coincidence? I think not.

Some others already touched upon the important aspects such as 6+1=7, see the original The Prisoner television series for more on that ("The prisoner" aka: Number 6 wants to know who Number 1 is, and there were originally to be 7 episodes). Nobody cares that at one point the number was 616. That related via gematria to a specific person, then when another person was to be villified it was changed to 666, so both numbers are accurate if you believe their only importance is to signify a specific person in history. The number 666 has many interesting aspects which go well beyond this pedantic view of the bible. For instance, the Magic Square of the Sun has nothing to do with individual personalities of historical significance, yet has a couple of connections to the number 666, and whatever other symbolism is carried with that number.

Here is Wisdom:

666 is NOT the number of Lucifer, but the mark of the beast.

Taken literally, it could be taken as the Trademark.

So, is there something known as the "Beast" that ha the trademark of 666.

The answer is YES.

The engineers and physicists who work on the Large Hadron Collider know it as "The Beast" and the trademark of CERN is 666.

Additionally, the design of the LHC is actually 3 tracks, each in the form of a 6.

666 is the the World Wide Web.

I have been thinking about this number too and I think it has something to do with the hexagon.

The hexagon is the basic structure for all of nature.

Saturn = Satan, & Lord of Death occording to occultists like H.P.Blavatsky. Satan/Saturn is the god of this planet (aka: the material world, the matrix. Satan was cast down to earth/materiality, like a lightning bolt(Tree of Life)), also Saturn is the Cheif of all the wandering stars, being the 7th and last visible one. Leeloo (5th Element) is cloned/created on floor #18(6+6+6) and is the "perfect one" = 7

Watching the new "The Prisoner" series now. Number 6 is looking for the beach, perhaps this shows version of "Shell Beach" from Dark City, or would that be (s)Hell Beach? It's called the barrier between worlds in the show, like Truman's ocean surrounding his domed matrix. The connection to Saturn and the beach/desert (as in the new "Prisoner" series) is seen in other "Land of The Dead" movies such as Beetlejuice where the dead live alongside the living, and the afterlife is shown to be the desert of Titan orbiting Saturn (complete with sand worms (like Dune) since the dead become "worm food.") (Compare to the afterlife in The Quiet Earth) A painting of a beach is seen in the waiting room of the Afterlife in Beetlejuice. The same exact painting is in Pulp Fiction in the motel room of "Butch" (Bruce Willis), the place where he says: "Zed's dead." Why's Zed dead? Because "zed" is the name for zombies in Britain ("the zed word"), and zombies are the walking dead.
