Larry Hagman

Ok this is going to sound weird. But I have seen a few threads that register the surprise of people when they find this information out.
But..... I swear that Larry Hagman was dead. I recall a few years ago watching a doco on him, and it went into great detail. It listed his problems with Alcohol and that he had to have surgery to replace his Kidney or something. As the doco went on it stated that even though he received surgery, he kept on drinking until he died pretty much.
Then I was watching a show yesterday on Fox, here he is LOUD as day and still alive. I went and Wikied him and there it was in black and white, he is still alive.
Please tell me others remember this?
