Crown Prince Willem Alexander of the Netherlands came under fire from some of his staunchest supporters on Monday for building a luxury villa in the impoverished southern African country of Mozambique.

"It is most unfortunate to pick a country as poor as Mozambique as your holiday destination, particularly if you do so for privacy reasons," the chairman of the Orange associations Michiel Zonnevyle told the daily Volkskrant.

So this is how the Dutch Elite, in this case the future king of the netherlands, plan to live.
One of the more wealthy families in the world, the dutch royals, build their large estate in one of the more poor countries in the world.
I guess it is clear that not every one is hit by the recent resession.

Nice these bilderberg people, is this how their gobal village will look ?

Did you ever consider there might be a very good reason for owning a well fortified estate in the tropics? I certainly do not trust the elite to tell the serfs the truth. The media here in the USA is nothing more tha a propaganda tool.

Maurice Strong, father of "Global Warming" has a ranch in a very "ice age" proof area also. I figure if the elite take up residence in the tropics we are definitely headed for deep yogart. The switch from interglacial to glacial can be sudden.

"...rapid climate transitions, most of them on time scales of centuries to decades or even less. The most detailed information is available for the Younger Dryas-to-Holocene stepwise change around 11,500 years ago, which seems to have occurred over a few decades. www.esd.ornl.gov...

Number crunchers have tried to find patterns in the weather for centuries.

SHORT-MEDIUM TERM
* ~22 year magnetic sunspot cycle
* ~88 year Gleissberg cycle
* ~206 year cycle of solar variability

LONGER TERM
* 26,000 year cycle of the 'wobble' with precession of the equinoxes
* 40,000 year cycle of the +/- 1.5° change in the Earth's axial tilt
* 100,000 year cycle in the eccentricity of Earth's elliptical orbit
* 220,000,000 year cycle (and smaller sub-cycles) due to rotation of the Solar System about the galactic centre which takes the Earth up and down through the galactic plane; interstellar dust levels and incident cosmic ray flux changes as a result

Victor Manuel Velasco Herrera of the Institute of Geophysics at the University of Mexico
“In about ten years the Earth will enter a “little ice age” which will last from 60 to 80 years and may be caused by the decrease in solar activity,” according to a report in the major Mexican newspaper Milenio Diario. translate.google.com...//www.milenio.com/mexico/milenio/nota.asp?id=651680&hl=en&ie=UTF8&sl=es&tl=en

”Instead of professed global warming, the Earth will be facing a slow decrease in temperatures in 2012-2015. The gradually falling amounts of solar energy, expected to reach their bottom level by 2040, will inevitably lead to a deep freeze around 2055-2060,”

Abdusamatov claims that the upper layers of the world's oceans have become cooler, this is a clear indication that the Earth has already hit the temperature ceiling, and that solar radiation levels are falling and will eventually lead to a worldwide cold spell.

Perhaps industry is being moved out of the north (the USA and EU) for a reason besides cheap labor....

The Dutch socialists have today raised parliamentary questions about the holiday home which crown-prince William-Alexander wants to build for himself and wife Maximá in Mozambique.
The Socialist Party's MP Ewout Irrgang cites reports stating that local Machangula regional councillors, police and tribal chiefs were 'bribed with free houses' by the South African project developers.

This realy starts to look like your typical elite project the more news comes out.
I guess it is easy to bribe people in one of the more poor countries in the world.
So is this how the local people benifit fromthis project by giving away some free houses to some local politicians?
