I have been breeding reptiles for close to 30 years and I would have killed the darn thing. It’s not like it’s a protected or endangered species. It’s a venomous snake and was in an area it was not supposed to be.
Gigantism pops up every now and then in reptiles it’s not uncommon at all. People breed the giant genes into their bloodlines and quadruple the price.
It could have been a hybrid rattler.
