The interpretation I got from my reading, and that was even posted in this thread is that they believed America represented the 'False Mahdi.' I'm
not sure, if like some in the US, the 'Mahdi' can be more of a 'concept' than a person...much like our 'antichrist.'
What I've seen on the boob tube, and read online is the president of Iran calling out, in the UN, for the hastened arrival of the Mahdi.
Reports are that he has made physical preparations for his return....in the way of at least a road and a temple.
He may be whacked, and maybe not any more than religious fundamentalists anywhere else, but just think for a moment about what happen when America
encounters religious fundamentalism on it's OWN soil. (cough) like Waco.
I don't want a war in Iran. I don't want wars anywhere, I'm just a puss that way. What I SEE though, is a country, led by a man that says he has
had CONVERSATIONS with the prophet that signals the end times. Part of his prophecy is the undoing of anything that is not Islam and he is NOT backing
down from the US.
We can make whatever speculations that we like, but you HAVE to ask yourself why would someone NOT give in to pressure from the UN that they KNOW will
result in military actions. Why? Death wish? Divine guidance and faith?
I think what we are seeing is the West playing right into it, because we're like pit bulls driving trains.
