Egads, the trickle down theory barely works over here, now you are using it as a rationalization for your contradictory stance.

I don't mean to have a go at you, especially over something as trivial as a few gobos (probably also MiC btw ), but you surely know it's not as simple as what you have described. The money we spend on MiC stuff doesn't all go to the peeps you know ... some of it buys a couple pretty missiles.

Horrible things go on all over and it is accepted in the name of power and money.

That is exactly my point and is why I even posted a link as an example to show our fault in this as well. We're 'ho-hum' about the atrocities because they are helping us stay afloat economically.

Why are you so worried about China?

This thread is about China correct? So I'm discussing China. Why are you deflecting and so uninterested in China? Why go into a thread about China then express faux outrage when people have the audacity to discuss.... China? Hello? Why enter a thread and ask why people are discussing the topic? No no, you got me all wrong. Of course China is the topic. My questions what is the big deal? Why are you wasting so much energy on this when you could be using it to do something positive at home? I was just curious why Americans would really get so bent out of shape over some red lights with the state of the economy, job market, house market, and on and on.

So does much of your tax dollars(referring to missile statement). I agree that they definitely abuse power, don't get me wrong, I realize it is a complex issue and that the trickle down effect doesn't always work. However in their case it behooves the government to improve the standard of living for their constituents because it can improve efficiency. Improving efficiency translates into owning more of the U.S. and they want to own us, don't ever forget that. haha.

The trickle down effect didn't work here because we have a different kind of system and for some reason politicians think there is some kind of gravity in the monetary system. They are morons because truly the gravity is the other way. If they wanted to trickle down here they would start at the so-called bottom. But I digress from the topic at hand.

More exports for china means more money for their corrupt government. More money for them means more investment in infrastructure and believe me they like to invest in infrastructure since they see this as a means to the end of being greater than the U.S. More money and infrastructure means better living standards and education for their people which HOPEFULLY means less human and animal rights violations in the future.

They may buy some missiles, but they spend less per-capita and only marginally more percentage of their GDP than the U.S. does(Which is still WAY LESS than the U.S. in total), and you can verify this at the CIA world factbook. Here is the link:

While the effect may in some cases be marginal, do not believe the same propaganda that we were constantly fed during the cold war about the Soviet Union(Which if you ask a previous citizen hates capitalism more in many cases[Those videos of food lines occurred, but not as often as we were meant to believe, it was propaganda]). They may violate many rights of their people(Tianamin Square, etc.), they are improving the standard of living in general in many instances.

I see you've acknowledged their first amendment right. So, you understand that support of their right does not imply agreement with their view. Then I don't understand your paragraph above.

It helps when you read words in a newspaper or hear them on TV to do a little research.

Yes why don't you do some research? And then use some critical thinking to extrapolate your data for proper contrast and comparison. They are all very closely related, most existing in some form at the same time within most "systems" that are labeled with one of these words.

Just because you "know" that the Nazis were against the "communists" does not mean they employed opposing ideologies.

Again, look up the definitions of all those terms and then look at their applications historically and I think you will see how they are all similar and usually dependant on each other in some form.

There is no arguing it's pretty. Use Red and Yellow frequently I don't care, but let it stand for something else. How about the fall of the Soviet Union, thats a good celebration. Or maybe the red could represent the fallen "Red-Coats" from our revolution. These seem to be good things to celebrate, but to celebrate communism, a typical ideology we know to decrease the standard of living for most involved, seems a bit irrational. I refer you to my previous videos on the first page I think?

True enough, I guess it could have been blood red and money green to signify the triumph of capitalism uber alles, or NAZI red white and black to signify the important contribution to the economy/military industrial complex that Operation Paperclip and cetera played.

Empire state building is owned by Empire State Building Company LCC which is owned by W&H Properties which is owned by Malkin Holdings which is a US company owned by Chinese investors.

China owns most of this damn country

Actually it would be more appropriate to have red at the bottom with green trickling down the sides, you know, to signify all the lost green we have going down the tubes to China.

It's not the ideology, it's the history of human and other rights violations it has typically represented. As I stated in one of my previous threads, there should be some sort of mix to be optimal. China is approaching from Communism, We are approaching from Capitalism, at some point we will reach equilibrium, hopefully the U.S. will keep away from the atrocities that often come with the approach to communism. haha.
