Hey buddy, I am not even about to get sucked into this drama so don't try. I am not backing either side. If either one wants to be offended thats their own choice. If the extreme of the left is soviet style Communism and the extreme right is Nazi's, no one wins. Both are terrible choices. Either way, johnny2127 needs to let it go and stop trying to convince people of his opinion, and Chevalrous needs to stop calling people names at every turn and be tolerant of other opinions.

This isn't about sides. Johnny2127 isn't a Nazi and Chevalrous isn't a Communist. So lets just drop it. You guys are arguing over nonsense at this point. I won't take sides, but at this point is you guys forcing this issue onward. Drop it.

It's very sad to see how full of themselves certain people are!

And with arrogant words saying that other people of the world is ranting!

It's incredible how much ignorance is floating around in certain places where many people are indoctrinated with propaganda since the day they were born. And where some people is spouting history revisions that has been planted by the ministry of propaganda or by the corporated fascist television.

And the worst part is that many of them have soo many opportunites together with other people of this world to correct these flaws and errors of that skewed world picture, but are simply too arrogant & ignorant to even care about it.

I think the people who are promoting this ignorance, and who's feeding the evil beast of this machine, unfortunately are going to get the opposite of what they really wished for! - in the end!

This is a sad day for the world, really!

Typical authoritarian trying to control others communication. If you don't like it I suggest you go find another thread. You are not a mod.

There are a lot of people in America that are so far off the mark when it comes to politics it's dangerous. There were people just like that in Europe in the 30's, who thought the Nazis were for the working classes, and would deny any wrong doing from their government. Look what happened!

You think it couldn't happen again, in another country, in the USA?
It already has, but I guess you would try to deny that so I won't bother with details.

And the rant comment, typical for someone who can't make a good counter argument, do you guys even understand what we're saying?

buddy you're missing what I am saying. I am not backing this johnny character or Chevalrous. I am just saying people have their opinion and those two won't agree so they should both drop it. I think its for the best of the discussion for this sort of thing to stop. Of course you or Chevalrous or johnny2127 are free to continue, I just think it isn't productive.

Me saying drop it is not because I have an opinion one way or the other. Just saying to leave the name calling and rhetoric alone. Don't start insulting me when I am just trying to help bring some civility back to this thread.

Is communism(at least Russia's form) really left? The russian communists were a massively bloated state government...just because they said it was "for the people" doent mean that it was in reality. Anytime "government" is brought in to anything, you take a step to the right, tword fascism. political leanings don't change it, if one group can be "classed" higher its not to left.

Yes I agree. I have always seen government in general as being of the right. There has never been a government that is truly of the left and socialist, it's really an oxymoron.

Government by it's very nature is authoritarian which is of the right, not the left as people in America wrongly believe. Socialism and the left is not a system of 'social programs', and handouts as many believe.
Social programs are the result of capitalism and it's unbalanced wealth distribution.

Russia was neither communist or socialist, it was a dictatorship with a system of class control, with wealth and poverty, just like in western countries. In other words 'authoritarian' and at odds with socialism/communism. Most of what the west sees as political in Eastern countries is actually cultural, and nothing to do with their system of government or economy.
