Thomas Sankara, for those who do not know was the leader of Burkina Faso (formerly known as Upper Volta) from 1983 to 1987. He was very charismatic and had a longing to see his country become independent. France wanted to keep a tight lid on their colonies at this time.

A coup d'état organised by Blaise Compaoré made Sankara President on August 4, 1983, at the age of 33. The coup d'état was supported by Libya which was, at the time, on the verge of war with France in Chad. I highlighted that Libya supported the effort because it will be important later.

The ideology of the Revolution was defined by Sankara as anti-imperialist in a speech of October 2, 1983, the Discours d'orientation politique (DOP), written by his close associate Valère Somé. His policy was oriented toward fighting corruption, promoting reforestation, averting famine, and making education and health real priorities. Womans rights were very high on this agenda of his.

Sankara's government included a large number of women. Improving women's status was one of Sankara's explicit goals, an unprecedented policy priority in West Africa. His government banned female circumcision, condemned polygamy, and promoted contraception.

Between fractions, between clans, plots and coups d'etats can be perpetrated. Against the people, a durable coup d'état cannot be perpetrated. That's what we are aiming for.."


"As for our relationship with the political class, what relations would you have liked us to weave? We explained face to face, directly with the leaders, the former leaders of the former political parties because, for us, these parties do not exist any more, they have been dissolved. And that is very clear. The relationship that we have with them is simply the relationship we have with voltaic citizens, or, if they so wish, the relationship between revolutionaries, if they wish to become revolutionaries. Beyond that, nothing remains but the relationship between revolutionaries and counter-revolutionaries."

The Americans were not happy with Sankara. He was talking of nationalizing his country’s resources to benefit his people. He was a socialist so he had to go.

Now, this is all leading up to something that I found very interesting. A documentary that was aired in Italy on public television recently. For the life of me I cannot find the actual video of this documentary. I have found a very reliable transcript though. A transcript that we may find to be very interesting indeed. I will post some of it and provide a link to the rest of it.

MOMO : He he … ok, I cannot tell him … besides he already knows…

SILVESTRO : The CIA ?

MOMO : Yes, the CIA trained me.

SILVESTRO : How about Gaddafi … Libya.

MOMO : Don’t go there, that’s politics…

SILVESTRO : Unbelievable.

MOMO : Let’s not get into that, that’s politics.

SILVESTRO : And they gave you money…

MOMO : Money, everything.

SILVESTRO : Arms ?

MOMO : Everything, everything.

SILVESTRO : The CIA.

MOMO : Don’t go there… that’s politics

SILVESTRO : Good heavens.

MOMO : You know, they are dangerous … right now they want it kept quiet … they would not appreciate us talking about it. If we do, it would be dangerous for them…

SILVESTRO : How is it possible that the CIA helped Taylor escape from prison ?

LADY : I am sure that they were involved.

SILVESTRO : But after that, he was in Libya planning the war against Doe. Libya was an enemy of the US.

Now, this documentary directly involves the CIA, France, and Libya in the assassination of a little known world leader who only wanted his people to live peacefully and prosper. Aren't we always wondering why Africa can never seem to get their act together? It seems that their are world powers that need them to remain in the state they are in at all costs. Why?

To make my point clearer I will refer you to an article that best describes what I believe is going on.

Today, most African leaders are ignorant of the needs and aspirations of the people they served, notably the masses, who formed the majority. What is being witnessed in Africa is the aggressiveness, through which African leaders assumed the mantle of leadership and the acute desire to remain permanently in power, so that they continue to amass, as much wealth, as they can and stash same in foreign banks to purposely serve the interests of their foreign lords. Any attempt to change the system will consequently lead to breakdown of law and violence, while their foreign lords continued to supply them with arms and ammunitions to protect their seats and remain in power. It does not matter, if the African masses drink the blood of one another and eat them up in the guise of war, so long as the white lords benefit from the circumstances. More so, African leaders, who have gotten wise to defend their fatherland and whose system of governance run contrary to the western policies or agenda had allegedly been conspicuously dealt with and subsequently had their governments toppled or even assassinated. We can recall the late Thomas Sankara of blessed memory, who tried to proclaim his country by attempting to change its colonial title from Ivory Coast to Burkina Faso. He was brutally massacred and replaced by Blaise Campaore, who was then his deputy.

I don't know man. The transcript to a mysterious documentary that implicates the CIA, France, a current president Taylor and Lybia. All tying into the push for colonialism from European countries. I don't know what else I could do to put a conspiracy theory out there. Oh well.

ALLEN : Gambian President Yahya Jammeh, Blaise Compaoré, Thomas Sankara, Domingo Guengeré, and ... Foday Sankoh, as well as the man from Chad, whose name I can’t recall, had all been trained in Libya and were all friends. They are the ones who actually organised the Burkina revolution and installed Sankara as president. Once in power, he set about putting in place his plans. The next thing you know, the US had infiltrated the liberation movements and set about overthrowing Sankara, who was leaning too far left. The Americans were not happy with Sankara. He was talking of nationalizing his country’s resources to benefit his people. He was a socialist so he had to go.

Yeah man, I came across the transcript somehow. Today, I actually found the documentary. It is Liberians talking and you cannot understand a word. I am hoping they get somebody to put subtitles in it.

The thing is, this documentary was just made. The revelations about how he was done in is just now being talked about. I just thought it was something we should know about. I mean it is pretty huge.
