Is your shower making you sick

Although this clip refers to America and is indeed American research I guess its a world wide issue that I would never have considered.

I placed this article here in education because it could be well worth knowing about particularly if you are respiratory sensitive.

Millions of Americans are getting a dousing of pathogenic bacteria along with their daily showers, a new study finds. Researchers have discovered that water spurting from shower heads can distribute pathogen-filled droplets that suspend themselves in the air and can easily be inhaled into the deepest parts of the lungs.

“If you are getting a face full of water when you first turn your shower on, that means you are probably getting a particularly high load of Mycobacterium avium, which may not be too healthy,” says the study leader author Norman Pace

This is nothing more than sensationalism aimed at illiciting "shock value" in the reader.

Interesting find, I had always heard you should let the water run in the morning to "clear" out the pipes, but never thought about the shower head!

Yikes.

And, I do believe it possible.
I cannot drink from the hose in the yard without getting stomach issues.
Bacteria builds in the strangest places and not everyone reacts the same.

there is something that grows in the hot water tank that, releases spores when you run it, wich gives you a deadly lung desiese.
