I have a GPS on my phone and I've used it before, only reason it was being used is because of the fact that I can't remember street names very well,
but very good at remembering how I got there and back. So if I venture into a new place for the first time and don't know how to get to the place
I'm intending to go to, I simply use the GPS and when it's off I usually do the 'ol trick of calling the place and ask them where they are located
as well as if I am close or not.
So far I've only had to use the thing once and that was to get to best buy on the other side of town and now that I know where it is I can easily
remember where it was and don't have to use it anymore. I find them useful every now and then, but most of the time after venturing the first time
it's not needed afterwords.

Forgot to mention that my phone is one of those voice GPS things, but it's not built into the speakers. So having to look down at it is rather, but
if I have to I wait until I can a safe stopping point and look, because quite a few times without even turning my gaze aside I was almost hit. It
seems I almost get hit a lot whether I am walking or behind the wheel.
