Greetings from Lima - Peru

I'm not a new member, but it is never to late to say HI =)

I've been in this forum since 2005 reading as much as I can, and have to say this place is amazing, there's so much info and stuff to learn that it is sometimes addictive but always fun.

Yeah, ATS would have to be the best informative site about conspiracy theorys out there. You say you are from Peru? How is it like down there, quality of life wise?

I've always wanted to visit Peru (and not just for Machu Picchu).

Peruvian cuisine is supposedly some of the finest on earth up there with Chinese and Indian.

Quality of life you say?
It’s very very good! We still have some pristine places to do eco-tourism, great beaches, great mountains and the huge rainforest.
We don’t ride in llamas, nor live in wooden huts and Peru is not located in Africa, as an American asked me years ago.
Delicious foods, culture and folklore.

Lots of archaeological places to go and some still covered in dirt for hundreds of years waiting to be rediscovered. If you guys have the opportunity of coming down here you won't be disappointed.

As any other country we have problems (poverty, narcos) but have been making things better the last 15 years. It’s safe to travel but as any tourist in any country you have to be careful with your bags.

Last July I went to Cuzco, there were more tourists than locals!
