Do They Own THe Christians Now Too?

Jesus said, "Render unto Ceaser, what is Ceaser's and render unto God, What is God's"

Put the aforementioned quote into modern action and what do we get? When Jesus spoke about Ceaser's property he obviosly meant all the laws and politics that go with it. When we now actually add the modern physical property in the form of technology, what do we get? "Ceaser's gold on steriods." Every luxury we have now produced by a global corporate entity which is Ceaser's gold, literally. So when everyone cries and moans about the absense of their rights they can blame every luxuruy they have laid hands on in life. Our luxuries have us so addicted and controlled that if anyone tried to give an offering to God they would be giving him Ceaser's money, which he does'nt want at all. We are so far in debt in the US now that we could easily say we are the actual property of the money lenders. Did'nt anyone ever have this hunch yet? A coming world dollar with all normal people left without a choice but to except it or lose all of their lovely Ceaser controlled luxuries. Did we not see this coming or are we really just a bunch of hopeless addicts that got hooked by that old devil. Complaining about rights? We gave up our rights when we let so many others become part of our personal lives through technology. Simple things we could have taken care of locally are now the necessity which is controlled by a central power who could care less about anything but its power itself. Our rights? How foolish we must look to let all these easy way luxuries dictate us for so long only to get trapped and then cry about it when we all get fat and so dependent. Waaaaah, we want our rights and power back but we dont want to work for it. Sorry folks, but thats the exact light we exist in now. If we are men of action, then where on Earth where we when we bought Ceaser's items overseas for the first time. To late to boycott those items now that they control us. So whats the fuss about. Render unto Ceaser what is Ceaser's and render unto God, what is God's. If our life is God's then give it to him, if it is Ceaser's then depend on Ceaser for life. In closing, Those who lust after their lives will lose it, and those who give up their lives to God will find it. Their is no need to fight and cry over it.

Too bad billions don't care what the Lord had to say. We would never be in this mess if they had.

People these days are addicted to comfort, luxury and immediate gratification... I can't see being a slave at all but being enslaved by frivolous junk and conveniences is what things have come to for the majority of people in the good old U.S.A..... The Bible is a book with a lot of wise teachings.... It is a shame that Christians that are most vocal in attacking every one of differing faiths, race or nationality, don't read it, except out of context

There has ever been only a remnant. The vast majority of those who would describe themselves as Christian today wouldn’t know Yahshua if he walked up and kicked them in the tukas. They’re cultural Christians at best, calling themselves that simply because that’s the default cultural belief system. 90+ % of those who would call themselves devout are what I would call ‘churchians’ : members of a social club that talks about God a lot, but who’s real purpose is social networking. Particularly here in the south, church is where you go to make business contacts and pick up women. Some think that rolling around on the floor, laughing maniacally, or barking like a dog means you’ve got the Holy Spirit. They’ve got a spirit alright.

using a computer to type out a post criticizing other people about their addiction to "stuff" always rings hollow.

this is the same as the old "money is the root of all evil" stuff. it's a misinterpretation. the love of money is the root of all evil. having stuff is fine, having money is no issue, but wanting stuff and money more than family or friends, or hurting others in order to get money or stuff, is, plainly, a bad idea.

christians often go searching for the deep meanings of sayings and totally miss the obvious.

god doesn't care what you do with money and he doesn't necessarily care how much stuff you have, he cares what you do with your heart and your mind, your godly stuff.

if you treasure your family and friends, thats where your heart will be, if you treasure money and possessions, that's where your heart will be.

Right, but it's also a question of what you've done with your treasure. That's the truest measure of where you heart is. If you've chosen to buy an upscale car that's more than you need, rather than follow the admonition to care for the widow and orphan for example.
