After looking over the list again, prediction #'s 7 and 8 have also happened. Of course the author most likely had lighter than air flight when he
mentioned huge airships. They were used extensively during WWII. The Germans gave up their airship program because the hydrogen was just too unsafe.
At the time the USA had the worlds only supply of helium. So the US Navy continued to use them as the most effective sub hunting tool at the
time.
The first heaver than air flight took place 3 years after this was published.
VirginiaGreen, I like the tube idea as well, but sadly that technology will not be developed for a long time. Check out some of the documentaries on
this site.
