I respect you're rights and opinions (don't get me wrong), but the one thing I don't understand is how people think that having a public option is a bad thing because it is just an option. No one is forcing anyone into it. Allow me to double back on my comment about the initial costs being exorbitant. The price is insignificant compared to how much we've wasted on an unnecessary war. People complain about Obama's spending but I don't remember this much complaining when Bush got us into a war that's cost us 3 trillion dollars whereas Obama wants under 1 trillion for health care reform. How is > 1 trillion for the betterment of America worse than 3 trillion to run around and kill a million innocent Iraqis?

And you're right Americans are feeling it in their pockets. But they will be feeling it even more so if the President can't get what he wants done now. If Obama fails to win a second term and a Republican president wins the vote; which is very likely because of the fear mongering and brainwashing that Faux News has been practicing. The health care system won't get touched and by the end of that term Medicare will have no money neither will Medicaid. Since they are both government run programs.

So when those two programs run out of money you will have numerous deaths among the lower class since their Medicaid ran out. And numerous deaths among all economic classes in the 65 and older crowd because their Medicare ran out. People in the workforce who get injured on the job or sick will have it worse than they do now.

People were furious over the medicare and medicaid programs came out in the 60s and labelled them as socialist, look at the good they've done for people in America now.

But hey race mixing was also labelled socialist so I guess we should listen to EVERYTHING that "they" tell us, huh?

I know people who went to the "March for Life" (anti-abortion) and it was over a million people. The Detroit-Downtown fireworks is about 1.5 million every year. The Woodward "Dream Cruise" is (i think) 2 million or more. If you are in Manhattan, there are likely over a million people surrounding you. A million people isn't as big as you think (but it sounds big, so the media doesn't use that number.)

Wow....
Does this mean that teabaggers can walk on grass without touching it? Is this something like jesus walking on water? If even just 10.000 people where on that lawn it would *not* look like that!

Look at the pictures from the rally and then go to this link and make up your own mind about the true number. It's very telling being able to use the same graphic the park service used for estimates! If it isn't well over a million at the rally I would be very surprised!

Park Service estmimate graph!

I cry B.S.

Did you take a poll? I've heard of numerous reports stating that this is a wholly bi-partisan, if you will, effort.

Back up your opinion with facts, my friend.

You're language slightly confuses me, are the "goodies" negative or positive? Could you provide references to specifically what you're mentioning?

Ok. So all the protesters are racists, dumb rednecks who hate black people. So then what's the other side? Smart handsome talented liberals? Stop playing the race card. Just because people disagree with your Obama does not mean their racist. Some of us still like the constitution, freedom, rights, thats what they were out there for, but I guess that makes them racists right. Im really getting sick of hearing this freaking racist word. Its only used by uneducated people who are losing a debate and have nothing else to say.

Living in Texas where there were huge lumber plantations before the civil war, you cannot tell me there is not racism in many of these people. Blacks still cannot play golf at our local country club. I've never seen anything like it until I moved down here.

What, you mean play the race card like Glenn Beck did? Talking about how Obama has a "deep seated hatred" for whites?

I guess I'm curious where the large scale marches were when that white guy was bending you over. You know, the one who forced you into 2 wars, sent thousands of your soldiers to die needlessly and devoted trillions to a fruitless cause.

It figures just when we get to the point of enacting a government program that could actually make a huge difference in average peoples lives these idiots would show up

I continue to not understand the rationale of poor, working poor, or middle class republicans. Obviously they will need to be struck by an anvil from the sky before they get it.

Were they chanting "Give my money to Wall St, Give my money to banks, Don't give my money back to me, Thats not fair NO THANKS!"

People only remember what mainstream media conditions them to remember.

While I find the 2 million estimate a bit of a stretch, 60,000 is not even close.

You're joking. The scale and frequency isn't even on the same level.

I wonder how many republicans were in that photo of the anti-war demonstration, give me a break Ashley. These are two different populations.

Every other day there's angry white republicans taking to the streets en mass drawing parallels with Obama to Hitler, calling him a communist as if they know what communism is, attempting to paint him is an illegitimate illegal alien, etc, etc.

How anyone can look at the events as of late and say the last president was attacked in a comparable fashion is beyond reason.

It's really irrelevant to me who governs your lost nation, I'm just pointing out how ridiculous you all look as an outside observer.

Eversince President Obama has asked Israel to halt the illegal settlements, the Washington's pro -Israeli groups aka "The Lobby" has been out to take out Obama by any means possible. First started the charade of of Birth Certificate and now Healthcare.

Any lets concentrate on this specific protest. Who led this protest?
This protest was led by

FreedomWorks Foundation, a conservative organization led by former House Majority Leader Dick Armey, has organized several groups from across the country for the Saturday event, dubbed a "March on Washington."

Source: www.foxnews.com...

Who exactly is Dick Arney?
Richard Keith "Dick" Armey (born July 7, 1940 in Cando, North Dakota) is a former U.S. Representative from Texas's 26th congressional district (1985–2003) and House Majority Leader (1995–2003).

Well here are some articles relating to him
Dick Arney is a member of the powerfull Israeli Lobby in US Politics.

The Lobby also includes prominent Christian evangelicals like Gary Bauer, Jerry Falwell, Ralph Reed and Pat Robertson, as well as Dick Armey and Tom DeLay, former majority leaders in the House of Representatives, all of whom believe Israel’s rebirth is the fulfilment of biblical prophecy and support its expansionist agenda; to do otherwise, they believe, would be contrary to God’s will.

Rep. Dick Armey Calls for Ethnic Cleansing of Palestinians

Oh and according to Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Barton Gellman, former Vice President Dick Cheney told Armey that Saddam Hussein's family had direct ties to Al-Qaeda and that Saddam was developing miniature nuclear weapons. Armey then voted for the Iraq War, but after it became clear this was not true, stated that he "deserves better than to be bull#ted by the Vice President.
Source: www.answers.com...

There is more

In a 2002 interview for The New York Times, Armey Stated that his "No. 1 in foreign policy is to protect Israel."

Source: # ^ THE WAY WE LIVE NOW: 9-1-02: QUESTIONS FOR DICK ARMEY; Retiring, Not Shy, The New York Times

In September 2008, while commenting on Barack Obama's name, Armey stated that it could "give people concerns that he could be or have been too much influenced by Muslims, which is a great threat now."

They dont give a damn about any healthcare or stuff relating to American citizen. their main motive is only to derail Obama Presidency for being against Israel interests at the cost of American interest.

I'm sorry you have a case of only seeing what you want to see. Really- I'm sad because I see it from both sides although I am a conservative.

You're joking. The scale and frequency isn't even on the same level.

Quite true. The protests under Bush were much more frequent. However, depending on the incident, sometimes Bush protesters had more and sometimes Obama protesters had more.

I wonder how many republicans were in that photo of the anti-war demonstration, give me a break Ashley. These are two different populations.

Well, you made a reference to 'the white guy' in the post you were responding to. race apparently was an issue for you and you implied nobody protested 'the white guy.' So the image was showing you 'all the white faces' in that Bush protest photo. It's not about race- it's about the issues, no matter how much you wish differently.

And if you want to hunt those people down and ask them about their affiliations, feel free. I don't know. I'm a republican and conservative but was still against the war.

Every other day there's angry white republicans taking to the streets en mass drawing parallels with Obama to Hitler, calling him a communist as if they know what communism is, attempting to paint him is an illegitimate illegal alien, etc, etc.

And every other day there were angry white who-knows-icans/-crats making parallels between Bush and Hitler:

EXTERNAL IMAGE (CONTAINS PROFANITY- PLEASE BE CAUTIOUS)

Just Google 'Bush Hitler Protest' or 'Bush Hitler Poster' to see more.

I see one sign portrayed Bush as illegitimate (due to the vote controversy) while you bring up some portray Obama as illegitimate due to being an illegal alien (who thinks that, BTW?) No one thinks Obama is illegal- just questioned his natural born status. So both of their legitimacy was questioned in different respects. And, yes, some are calling Obama a socialist. They also called Bush a fascist.

When you feel like looking at the facts of history and not only what you want to see, you'll see just how similar everything is. I'm sorry history (the last 8 years) isn't what you remember it being. But it would benefit you to get over the us vs. them hump. This tit for tat doesn't resolve anything as long as we fight with each other without realizing that the same force is between both sides of our government.
