The New Atlantis: Is Atlantis really the Americas?

Saw this good documentary by Chris Pine called Secret Mysteries of America's Beginnings Volume 1 : The New Atlantis . It is well researched and contains lots of information. Some of this knowledge was given to the new comers by the native peoples that lived and live in the Americas today. Could Plato's version of Atlantis really be a hand me down version of the America's?

The capitol city of Atlantis is 400 feet underwater north of
Grand Cayman island.
9,000 years ago the levels of the oceans were 400 feet lower
than they are today.
Check out Google Earth.
They have great underwater terrain now.
