I have been looking around trying to find if anyone is as concerned about this as i am. Apparently Obamas healthcare plan will make it mandatory to have insurance, he even related it to a car. My problem with this is that
1) none of the plans are for free health care (i'm not for free healthcare but if you cant afford it then how can it be mandatory)
2) he never went over the repercussions for not having healthcare, hell he barely even spoke about it being manditory.
Where i live its pretty hard to find work so if this plan goes thru what the hell happens to ppl like me? Its one thing to have mandatory insurance on a car, you cant afford it then you cant drive... but what does a person do that cant find work and therefor cant afford even the gov't option? not live? Not exactly as similar as obama would like to think...

by what I read, it will the IRS who will be checking to make sure you are insured and come after your tail if you aren't. you will be supplied a form at tax time to fill out and submit with your income tax.
ya know, in most areas of our economy, if the price of something is too high, well, the people don't buy it, and the product is either offered at a lower price or eventually is taken off the market...
we'd have runaway inflation if this wasn't the case.
well, I don't see how our economy could operate the was it's supposed to when the gov't keeps butting their nose in and making the unaffordable, affordable or forcing the people who are finding it unaffordable to buy it anyways.
it is our right to boycott overpriced and inferior products that are offered by buisnesses that are not dealing fairly with us. it's what keeps the business halfway honest and inclined to keep their prices within our means.

Its a pretty selfish self-centered form of thought. And frankly is probably brainwashing brought about by the lobby groups.
