Wow, treating new comers like kids! I've got a great thread topic and I joined just to share it with ATS and I have to post 20 times...

Well keep an eye on the ufo section, once I get 20 post I'll share something cool with you guys. As far as I can tell its the only peice of REAL proof on this site that aliens are among us! Its gonna be great...

The rule is inplace to prevent spammers from signing up and creating "spam" or "HOAX" threads. The 20-posts-before-thread rule helps to deter that kind of unwanted behavior and help weed out members with minimal contributions. But for people truely interested, 20 posts goes by rather fast. You can also gain posts at BelowTopSecret.com.

On a different note, welcome to ATS. I look forward to your contributions

Dang I just posted this and already got a bunch of replys! I assure you that what Ive got is gonna be good, its something people have never even thought of.

I just hope people can suspend skepticism when they see it because I am coming from a genuine place. Like I said for what ever its worth, if its what I think it is. It will be a real peice of physical evidence to support the case of close encounters of the 3rd kind.

Oh yes and I am posting away, hope I get all 20 post done by tonight.

If you stick around long enough, you will probably come to appreciate the 20 post rule. Especially when there is a hot topic at hand like a national election. It cuts down on a lot of the drive by trolling. I am very thankful that it is in place.

Is this why i see no more Anonymous posters as i did a year ago??

I have to agree with Karlhungis, cuts out alot of dribble.

I would just use heavy moderation, its not like its not already in place here. I made a funny comment about a rebuilt ww2 Nazi plane and it was deleted in like 20 minutes. Thats all it takes to keep the boards clean is just a little foot work... oh and with this post I will have my 20th post! Its 5:00 am where I am but I think I'm gonna write my post anyways, I'm even gonna merge another topic I had with it.

I don't like this rule at all. As a long standing member of ATS, I haven't had much time to visit over the last year but I like to come and see what's new every now and then. I have twice started new threads only to find they have disappeared! It must be that I have been away for so long that
I am being treated as a new member. If you think I am going to waste my time posting for the sake of it then I'm afraid you have one less member

I would love to see what you call proof As for the 20 posts, I kind of like how they do this. I did my 20 posts pretty quick and most were in BTS Welcome to ATS!

I post very little myself and often stay away for months at a time, but this has never happened to me.

Did you check your U2U inbox? Maybe they were moved. Another thing you can do is check your threads in your profile because all my threads are listed there and there isn't a lot of them.

That's not even how it works fiftyfifty. New members simply aren't allowed to create them until they have 20 posts. It isn't like they make them and they simply disappear. Whatever happened to you probably has nothing to do with the 20 post rule.

If you have something so special why not give us a clue. You could play 20 questions and get it over and done with in no time. You never know we may guess before you start your thread

Oh well that's ok then.. I shall stop huffing! I don't know where they disappeared to then. They didn't appear in 'myATS' or anywhere else.

I have noticed quite a few changes since last time I came and I suppose I just need to get used to them. There were a lot of trolls last time i was here on a daily basis so hopefully the new rule has reduced that!
