Wow, if they did in fact find it, i would keep it totaly quiet until i got to check it out first hand and file a mining claim, there is said to be quite a bit of gold there, man.. what a find.

Hope its not like geraldo when he claimed he found Jimmy Hoffa *LOL* ohh that was a great 2 hours of prime time tv... "look ma a empty room"

It was Al Capone lol.

And if this was that mine, wouldn't he go there first and get the gold?

The area in question is part of the Superstition Wilderness Area and as such, is tightly regulated.

One cannot just show up and start hauling out gold. There are strict procedures that must be followed before any prospecting, treasure-troving, or mining can occur.
