When TSHTF, What side will YOU be on?

I cannot help but now see how people are being divided in this country, let alone the world, and it is thanks to the US Government. I am not implicating anything other than BOTH parties are ripping this once great nation apart at the seams with their agendas and back-and-forth bickering. When Bush was elected, once, and served 8 years as the US president, the majority of the nation was against him. We stood as one against a common enemy, and that was arguably the worst and most entertaining president in US history. Now, however, in the time of "change" we have a Democrat in office with majority in Congress.

The Obama administration fires a barrage of attacks from the far-left to the far-right in retaliation to the far-right doing the same. On the surface, it doesn't seem like much, but if you were to look into it, you will clearly see that it is paving the road toward our destruction and the fall of another great empire; however, unlike the Romans and the British, there will be no remnants other than the thousands of nuclear weapons that may be launched once the United States has fallen.

The right-winged Americans are called domestic terrorists while the left-winged are called Nazi. Where is the compromise the president promised? Where is anything that he promised? I know no one can possibly go through with their promises and please everyone, but have you seen anything that he promised be fulfilled? I haven't.

The time will come when American Civil War II is upon us and instead of it being North against South, it will be right versus left. Again, families will be broke; fathers, sons, brothers, daughters, mothers, and sisters will be forced to fight against each other for the sake of their survival. Anarchy will sweep the land and the US Government will order tactical strikes on 'domestic terrorist strongholds.'

I am going to be a Law Enforcement Officer in the near future, and what I fear the most is that I will be forced to fight on a side that I don't agree with, whether it be left or right. I don't want to fight, but I will if I must. I just hope that day never comes.

If divided we stand, together we will fall. What side will you be on?

I disagree that the US will split up into left and right. I think it will split up into Authoritarian and Libertarian. Because people are starting to see that left and right is a false paradigm and all we have are people who wan't to take away freedom and people who will fight to defend their freedom. As for which side I will be on, the only side I can morally fight for is freedom.

I will be on the side protecting liberty, justice and freedom for all. No question in my mind. That's why I will be fighting.

Real American Patriots will always be on the side of the CONSTITUTION.....
We will prevail..... we will walk RON PAUL up the White House steps, into the Oval Office and sit him down in his rightful place in American history..!!

I will be on the side of the who will cast a star down here once all sides fk up get it. Start a global war not aknowledging the life in animals, insects, fish, birds ect. then you deserve for mother NATURE TO HAVE A DESTRUCTIVE DIVINE ASSISTANT believ or not humans are controlling their own destruction.

What is freedom if there is law? No matter where you go, there is going to be law, whether it be state, national, or international. If you fight for freedom, you will die for freedom. You may be okay with that, but don't we have an image of freedom already?

You will be fighting against the persona of freedom, for freedom. It is mind boggling how people will fight for their natural right to live how they please, and yet they enable people to pass laws that restrict them.

I will be on the side of righteousness, whatever side I deem that to be; however, I will not join the fight until the fight comes to my door. There is no need to instigate violence when it will come to you in due time.

Well, we know that we need laws. Laws to protect the free. Freedom to me is the ability to wake up everyday and be able to do exactly what I want.

I pretty much have it that way now, except I don't "want" to pay taxes. But I do, to keep the freedoms I have. (that are being slowly taken away)

Without freedom, comes anarchy. With anarchy, comes total destruction.

i want to be on the side that win. as long as im guaranteed a house by the beach and a steady income of 2 million gold nugget a year, i will fight for anyone. i will not compromise a life of luxury, not even for the greater good. thus, my loyalty can be bought.

Honestly, I won't pick sides.

I will undoubtedly infuriate both sides with my message of peace, understanding, and compromise. But that's just the way it'll have to be if that day ever comes.

I'm glad you started this thread because it helps us see how trivial these "sides" are. We should let go of that divisive thinking and think about finding commonalities like freedom and justice, the values that built this country. We are all on one side in the US and that's the side of our country. NOT the government, but the country.

I think it will be more like the Soviet Union in 1991 ... due to lack of funds, the government will collapse. There will be some coups and desperate attempts by Washington to keep power, but none of them will work.

I'm going to sit out, and if there is a civil war, I want to live through it with my family, and start over when it ends.

So I will hunker down and blend in with the walls. Killing each other will only leave us vulnerable to foreign invasion.

But I will defend my self, my family and my property to the death.

IMO the enemy of the American people is merc's, UN peace keepers, foreign military forces and the powers that will be commanding them (mostly foreign). Our military, and even the alphabet soup is full of patriots, and they won't fire on the American people.

Our government is too busy lining their own pockets to let some NWO take stronghold. They WILL not let that change. We the people in Canada work for our government. Give them all our money. Why would they want to change that? Haha.

But in all seriousness, it sucks that as "advanced" as we are, we haven't figured out how to stop using fear and violence as the only way to prove points, regardless of which side you are on.

As for being in law enforcement in the near future, you will definitely come across laws that you won't like. Even in a non shi# hitting the fan situation.
You swear an oath to serve and protect (the public). Not enslave and imprison them.

What is most frustrating, is seeing the ones put in jail that deserve it, then seeing them a week later. It's hard to stand back and admire your hard work. Sorry, little off your original topic....

I would side with protecting the innocent.

If the second American Civil War happens, you know the entire world will watch attentively. The UN will be actively supplying 'peace keepers' to the US Government in the name of securing the nation from 'rebellious terrorists,' while nations like China and Russia will count the days.

The Government will withdraw troops from across the globe to secure their power here, but most of the soldiers will not fight for them. The major withdrawal of American forces from across the world will spell World War III for sure. Japan will be vulnerable and will be forced to either submit to the powerhouse of China, or rebuild their military might. And NK will be a loose cannon.

This will be the end of American Civilization, and maybe even human civilization.

No matter what race, or political affiliation, I see people pulling together for the good of the country.

It will be interesting to see how the Monroe Doctrine holds in this situation. Since we swear to come to the aid of just about any nation in our part of the world that is under attack, will they return the favor?

I doubt it.

Canada will be dragged into it, though. Mexico will have to close their borders due to a spike of illegal American aliens.
