The russians have come up with a amphibious air/sea UFO!

It is stealthy, can fly over long distances, can be as big as a flying city or a small house, can easily glide and land on water (UFOs are seen often over water).
The russian space agency made this and I am sure if it's visible on youtube, it must be in very operational state. Anybody knows more or can analyze this video please?

I think this is bad news for UFO researcher, if we start making similar crafts

EKIP-Tarielka is a real project. It was supposedly shelved due to lack of funding.

No it says its the new 2008 design
Probably continued with the availibility of new technology

I don't think it is bad news for UFO researchers, but that is one heck of a vehicle! I want one.
S&F. It says the thing can "swim" at 140km/hr... I guess they mean glide atop the water? Or can it actually dive?
Either way that thing is wicked cool. "It simply soaks up 3 tonnes of water"... Awesome!

This is a variant of an older Russian design that was not amphibious. Nothing exotic here, nothing in the propulsion system that is "out there" or anything like that.

Fun to imagine, but there is nothing noteworthy here.

I wonder if it is possible for the russians to have such craft on US territory?
As it is stealthy and can easily land and hide? This could explain some UFO sightings.

Just watching the video I can't immediately see any new technology - other than the air cushion - but there again that has been used in WIG craft (Ekranoplan's in Russia - they have loads of experience in that area and of course hovercraft.

There is that old adage - 'give a brick enough engines and it will fly!' - The main body of that thing would provide a great deal of lift in forward flight.

This is actually pretty old footage. The Russians have been building this thing since the 80's. They probably are working on it again.

Have to admit it does look close in design to that flying turtle doing the rounds here and on youtube.

Good design, but I dont think it can take off verticaly and I expect has some loud engine noise.Havnt seen too many UFO clips with this shape, but I expect it could look a bit out there if seen flying close by

Well, do you honestly believe that the americans are that more advanced in technology than the rest of the world and Russia?

Obviously, official new aircraft are alot better than older official aircraft. New secret aircraft are of course alot better than what anyone can hope for though. Surely, Russia have secret projects that are probably as advanced as the american projects. Maybe the two countries aren't equal, but the fact that some people tend to believe that the american technology is lightyears before the russian technology is just stupid.

I'm not so sure about that. I remember as a kid reading about the Rolls Royce design for HTOL craft which, at the time, was pencilled in for regular flights by the mid 80s, cutting the journey time between London and Sydney to 4 1/2 hours. 25 years alter we are still waiting and, save for, the Aurora this technology doesn't seem to have truly taken up..

The essential problem, as i se it is this. Yes we can make bigger, but so far. All we have is basically the same power plant heating air forced through a turbine as we did 70 years ago. Yes, we can incorporate computer systems to allow shapes, that until now, were inherently unstable, to fly.

What we can't as yet, is negate the laws of aerodynamics by the creation of a *dead space pocket* around anything bigger than a wire frame in someone's garage in Seattle.

I'm sure they are trying to work it out, However, the history of technology teaches us this. it's the mavericks make the huge leaps forward, not the establishment. The chances are, when someone does finally crack it, it will be on camera, in front of a select few who can be bothered to even show up, in some field in, probably, the last place we ever expect.
