You know I know and alot of people know what you have stated, however..

You cannot throw the baby out with the bath water... Take a look at some pics of the mall in DC right now..

Don't tread on me flags are everywhere, this is an awakening of the people..

Sure there are some who have latched on and are trying to capitalize off the movement, but that doesn't diminish the efforts of all of those who could go to DC for this protest..

I simply ignore those who obviously ae trying to claim this as an anti left movement..

This is an anti-government movement IMO. Don't abandon those you agree with just because of those you don't.

It's a BIGGER picture deal..

Wow what a huge crowd!
This is absolutely awesome, it's nice to see so many people
actually standing up for something in this country.

A pity we had to be kicked in the nuts (figuratively) multiple times
to awaken so many people. Better late than never though!

Palin didn't try to latch on, she was invited to the Tea Party movement by the Tea Partiers themselves, that says alot about what has happened to this movement.

These movement's are accomplishing anything, and even if they were they aren't accomplishing the right thing, the root of our problems is monetary.

The only thing that is going to save this country is monetary policy, but the movement isn't about that anymore, it's not about ending the wars anymore, it's not about anything that it used to be besides limited government, which I can agree on.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that this is mostly an anti-left movement and had there been a republican in office we would have seen the left hijacking the movement the same way it's being done now.

The purpose of the tea party movement has been ruined, it doesn't bring attention to what needs attention, the single most important issue in our economy, our country, that most of these new protesters know nothing about: Monetary policy.

If the country were informed on monetary policy then you would see every American joining the tea party movement. But it's been hijacked and that issue has obviously been downplayed in the movement which is most telling, obviously we have some higher ups in the movement that would rather have people focus on things like taxes and government spending, i'm not saying that those issues aren't important because they most definately are but when you set it next to the monetary issue then it certainly pales in comparison.

I simply don't want to be used as a tool by the right or left like I said. They are capitalizing off this movement to further there political game and I don't want to be apart of it anymore. period.

If either party were capitalizing off this movement that should be enough in itself to scare away all the original tea party people, one of the corner stones of the original movement was protesting the 2 party system, this whole movement has become totally contradictory.

Awfully convenient, I'd say. Seems like some don't want the public to know just how big the crowd is. To that end, I've seen estimates as low as 10-20k today, which is a joke. Based on that image I posted on the previous page, at worst, I doubt there's fewer than a couple hundred thousand, and that particular image was taken about an hour before the event was officially scheduled to begin.

Looks like Nancy Pelosi is burryng her head in that astro-turf she was talking about now!

Where's our government today? Getting massages at some fancy over-priced spa or hiding in the closet with the lights off wetting themselves?

I think we need more and more of these, maybe that'll put the fear back in them.

This is absolutely amazing.

For about 10 years now, I've been scouring news-feeds and other live satellite feeds that get fed to Burbank and other places from the news vans. All you need is an FTA receiver, a 30 inch dish and a low band (10750) LNB.

For the last 3 hours, I've had a constant feed up basically from the podium and can clearly hear all the speakers and see the crowds...real-time.

One speaker said that CNN estimated the crowd, a couple hours ago, to be at 1000 people. I thought WHAT? You've got to be kidding me! There are many thousands there and more arriving still.

I think I'll start a thread in the survival forums with all the info one needs to get a setup like this. It's relatively cheap, no monthly fees, and you get to watch the whole chase, not just the crash at the end. Why rely on the MSM when you can get so much more of the story in real time, before it's even being reported...if at all? Not only that, with a 12V inverter, you could watch news from all over the world, in the middle of nowhere, from your car.

It's amazingly stupid just how censored all the corporately funded media outlets really are.

Wow, that would be an excellent thread in survival, I know I would be interested in seeing if I can have that type of setup here in the sticks where I live.

The specific camera there is "14th and E St NW". The crowds have long since dispersed, though.

There is nothing constructive about it at all. All they did at the Washington Rally was hold up signs with Nazi pictures, abortion signs and something about "guns"

It was more then just simple health care reform (which no one in the opposition is trying to put together an alternative) and higher taxes.

What really bothered me was they used 9/11 as propaganda tool to prop up their event.

All I know is that we are in an awful economic situation, and healthcare in this country is totally screwed. The status quo is not working, and the only unit capable of fixing it right now is unfortunately the government. So to me the risks of doing nothing are far greater than some raised taxes and a slight bit more socialized healthcare system. My parents lost a lot more money from the economic crash than they'll ever lose paying increased taxes.

Do tea party participants have any better solutions to our current problems? Or do they simply complain about "socialism" and Obama all the time? Thats all I see from these things, lots of complaining and no constructive criticism.

They certainly do. As a matter of fact, they have brought them to Obama's attention during press conferences, but he refuses to discuss them.

Health care, for example. There is no need to create a huge bloated gov't bureaucracy to fix the current problems. But Obama wants a 'public option' because it gives him control. That's what it's about to him - control.
