Since October 2008, six controlled explosions have rocked sour gas pipelines operated by EnCana energy around the Tomslake area in the province of British Columbia. EnCana's reward is thought to be the largest in Canadian history.

It seems a local is angry at the oil companies for ruining the environment and and for the locals who get no benefits from the billions that leaves their land.
Commando squads have been sent to look for the guy and the biggest reward is offered for his capture.
If this guy is reading, keep up the good work. THEY are the terrorists

You have no idea about what is happening in Canada. Even less knowledge about what is occurring in my home province. Unlike in America, provinces collect taxes and fees from oil companies that go back into financing the province's services to the people. This is how the province of Alberta has billions in surplus money to spend on government funded infrastructure. You are sadly mistaken and I doubt he is on ATS.

The bomber is not just a terrorist, but an eco-terrorist. Encana's only crimes are providing energy to Canada and building a pretty non-intrusive pipeline to transport our nation's energy resources. As for commando squads, no, its just the RCMP and a few Canadian Forces members. This psychopath actually creates more danger than good.

Also, this is old news.

While I do not agree with this man or woman's strategy, oil companies are destroying western Canada's environment. Northern Alberta has been completely decimated in the name of profit. An aboriginal group has seen a surge in cancer related deaths. Rivers in that region have been rendered useless. They are so polluted that they are no longer safe to use as a resource.

And north eastern BC is no different. It is disgusting. The health of human beings should be more important than the profit of these oil companies.

Unfortunately, that is not the case.

Keep in mind that the energy industry has caused Canada's economy to skyrocket, however, what is more important? Our ecosystem which sustains life, or is it money? I'd say I'd rather have a healthy environment for this generation and the future generations. THAT is more important than any economy could ever be.

Unfortunately, we have been indoctrinated in to believing that money is of more significance than this planets environment. As well as human lives.
