We have all seen it, and the majority of people have used some sort of mind control, feeding the brains ego just so they think they are "right" and someone else is "wrong."

Well, seeing the long term effects it seems to have on people, and also seeing a well thought out post HERE I think we, as Americans, as Britains, as Russians, Asians, as HUMANS (the only TRUE race) need to realize it is time to come together, not just for us, but for our future families, our elderly, AND our past families, who fought so hard to get to where they did.

Its not about who deserves what, its not about who is seen as "rich" or "poor." Its about doing the right thing, its about getting these greedy peoples hands out of our lives, its about thinking on our OWN, people being INDEPENDENT (getting rid of generalizations), being happy, and LOVING BEINGS (human BEINGS).

We arent on this planet to make all the money we can, were not here to claim all the territory before someone else does, we are here to LOVE each other, plain and simple LOVE.

But no one can do this for us! WE (collectively) must look past all the drama, all this crap put in-front of us daily, look past these false boundaries that have been set up before us (without our consent!) and work together for the COMMON good.

What are we all but humans?

So, to conclude, I believe that these sort of things like propaganda should not be allowed to go about freely, they are dividing people, they are controlling people, and they are ruining millions (if not billions) of lives that the majority of people dont even see everyday.

I thank you all for reading this post, stay loving.

Thanks for the propaganda on propaganda being illegal!

Since you are participating in the very act you oppose, what should your penalty be?

well. i hear propaganga spewing out of all sorts of people's mouths, religious types, gamer types, propagating intensely colorful images via spoken word... we have all been guilty of "propaganda" at some point i think. just a matter of how many people your audience is i guess.

I don't like your statement. If we don't have freedom of speech for everyone, then who decides? c'mon, the bastards gotta have their say if we're gonna have ours. I agree propaganda is immoral but it doesn't mean it should be illegal. What we need is some limits reimposed on the ownership of medai outlets. No body could own very many of them and we had some diversity. Newsspeak offends my ears too but we can never be free of it until we create a world where open communication is the norm, long way to go on that idea

Freedom of Speech, YES!

Abusing the freedom of speech, NO!

I understand what your saying, nice point on that, I perhaps should have considered the minimal side of things first, I mean, we have to climb the stairs to get to the top!

To be personally honest, have you noticed the majority of abuse seems to have went from physical, to mental or psychological abuse? (some times backed up by physical)

Alot of people use the sword of the tongue, so to speak, very viciously, and then claim freedom of speech, but it should only be able to go SO FAR, before it becomes abuse. If we are punished for any other kind of abuse, then it seems almost illogical to NOT be punished for this type of abuse.

I just have met so many people in the modern world who have been hurt, sometimes very badly, by this kind of abuse, (which can be extremely degrading) why should the constitution (or the law) PROTECT this sort of action?

Forgive me if I have given off the wrong vibe, im not trying to take peoples rights away, im just trying to protect those who hurt by a vicious loophole thats gone un-noticed for far too long.

God Bless.

Wait, are we both on www.abovetopsecret.com?

Because the last time I checked, despite my greatest efforts and hours of writing, this site is just as crammed with distractionary propaganda as the best of the best propaganda networks.

Free speech should never be illegal. I don't have to agree with what you have to say, but I would die for your right to say it. What needs to be illegal is ignorance and the systematic dumbing down of the American people.

Propaganda is useless against those who know it being utilized against them, the only thing needed to defeat propaganda is thinking. So before they make thinking illegal, perhaps the members of this site could try it out some time.

No offense taken, none intended. It was the title that rattled my cage a bit Propaganda has long been a study of mine. Back in the 80's I ran a zine called fourth reich Update, it was all about the religious right. Talk about masters of propaganda!
Those guys (robertson, falwell, etc) taught the Republican party so much
about it and about grass roots organizing. While the Republican party used the religious right they haven't quite woken up to that fact just yet. I can't wait until they do though! Right now they are a faction without a party which is interesting in and of itself.
There was a guy named herbert schiller who wrote several great books on propaganda, I can't remember any of the titles but his works are still the best on the subject.
Propaganda can only function as long as they have control of the media outlets, another relic from the reagan years. Perhaps the challenge here is how to educate the public to recognize propaganda when they hear it. Then it wouldn't matter who owned what!

Interesting notion. Make any speech designed to influence illegal? Who decides what constitutes propaganda? Some Ministry of Propaganda Elimination?

There's a balancing act between freedom and security. You can't have one without doing collateral damage to the other. There has to be some sort of personal responsibility factored in. We'll never have a system that can be all things to all people. Ever. Because we're all different and have different needs and capabilities.

If nothing else, the proposal wipes out the advertising industry, politics, and all sales positions in one fell swoop. Not to mention, dating.
