Does anyone here ever read or research?

I don't mean to sound smarmy - but I get amazed at the level of DISINFO that goes on in these forums.

Many of the supposed "conspiracies" and/or tin foil hattery crap can easily be vetted by doing a little bit of reading and research. Sheesh!

Or is it just that it's more "fun" to ignore facts and evidence (or the very circular and ridiculous argument that EVERYTHING that doesn't fit into your theory is/must be a coverup, media "fix", intentional propaganda...etc.).

I mean, seriously? Doesn't anyone bother to read, research or investigate things for themselves for pete's sake? I find it really awful that for such a robust country in terms of resources and access, we have so many really STUPID, IGNORANT and ATTENTION SEEKING morons within our boundaries.

I know the words "paranormal" and "anomalous" are bound to bring up the usual rhetoric to some degree - but I seriously was hoping to find some reasonable discourse, people to "collaboratively research" or "check veracity" of some of this "unexplained phenomenon" stuff with, etc. Instead, when I read I just get overwhelmed by the sheer BS and silliness of most of the reports put forth. *sigh* No wonder mainstream scientists and academics don't take these topics seriously.

Sorry, but just frustrated...guess my own fault. I came looking for information, not rumor mongering and Enquirer like sensationalism and so perhaps I venting/ranting because I had unrealistic expectations.

Examples would be nice, and also debated at that I suppose.

Most extremes, are trolls, and can be detected easily. Umm.

The rest, see line one.

If you haven't found what you're looking for, you aren't looking hard enough.

Or you're a complete skeptic
yay!

As a intelligent man pointed out before. It think it was the site owner

To deny ignorance is first to figure out if you are right about what you know.

Many people just uses google to find a source that fits their own theories and believes.
And that's not a problem, there are sources that fits every idea on the Internet. But does it make it a fact or just a argument for the sake of arguing?

The other thing is that many people can read but they dont always grasp the point that they read about. And often they make the wrong conclusions about what they have just read.

I used to be a complete skeptic, but then found out that the main stream corporate media only put out what they want. This study from a well respected journal was never publicized by the main stream media:

rawstory.com...

It is about the findings of a highly engineered explosive found in the rubble of the World Trade Center wreckage. Why was this report ignored?

Some of the people here are smarter than you are giving them credit for.
