Conversing With Myself

Gather round
ye senses that have scattered
I have forgetten where you went
Did I place you somewhere
Random thoughts invade
Unfocused is my mind
my thoughts cluttered
where did I leave my keys
Damn I left the stove on again
Too many things going on
I hear thunder
did I roll up my windows
oh wait that is my stomach
I forgot to eat today
Can I help you?
Are you talking to me?
Did I lock the office?
Sorry I didn't see you
where did that come from?
That is one ugly dog!
I don't remember taking the curves
on my way home...
Now who is calling
I never called mom back
I wonder whats on tonight
Did I get the wine to go with dinner?
This has been a long day
wonder what the dogs barking at
its late I better go to bed
don't forget to lay something out
for dinner in the morning...
what I am going to wear tomorrow
I think I have lost my marbles...
I hope I sleep good

I put my head on backwards again
to see what I left behind
I can't seem to remember
perhaps I 've lost my mind
Maybe you didn't really care
It think its becoming clear
you wished I wouldn't speak my mind
and I wished you'd only hear
it doesn't really matter now
these thoughts are in my head
better put it on straight
there nothing more to be said.

In some way we all are crazy
With the days of life so full
Even I just want to sit some days
Do nothing and enjoy it, even if dull

I hear you clear my friend I do
We voice our thoughts sometimes apart
But even in life's ridiculous cycle
We all fumble through the dark

So hold your head up to be seen
And I will also do the same
Together we will take our turns
In battling through life's long game

Believe me when I say this now
Believe me in life's battle zone
Believe me I really understand
