Hollow mars on google mars?

On google mars there is a possible hollow mars entrance, here is its
Latitude and longitude:28 54'3.24"N 174 57'4.46"E
Its an intresting find and if any posters have info on what else it could i would love to hear about it

not everyone has google mars, or google earth for that matter.

Big dark spot, for sure. No real comment on what it might be. Maybe a deep canyon, deep crater...

Click on the yellow box just above the image. In the box that then opens, click "Load this image". The satellite photo is then loaded into Google Mars, you can then clearly see it is just like the rest of the surface - no hole there, just surface.

It looks like a pair of eyes staring out of that hole I'm sure it;s nothing, but it's an interesting image anyhow.

Not too long ago there were reports that NASA had found giant, and I mean GIANT, holes on Mars. They seemed to just be giant holes to some unknowable abyss.

I don't know if there was any further development of the holes story after the initial discovery, maybe another ATSer can enlighten us.

Not trying to poke fun at rangersdad, but that gave me a good chuckle.

It's probably just a exhaust burn on the surface.

Honestly you can see the dark areas outer edge gradually dissipate. A hole would have a solid edge.

Nothing to be concerned about it's Jawas from Tattione. The have a sale on protocal droids and R2 series astromech droids. Hopefully they don't find Spirit and Oppotunity they will be dissasembled and sold for parts for sure.
