Car dealers may give you cash for your clunker, but it's misleading to use that term in advertisements, the province's motor vehicle industry council said Friday. "It's one thing to say we'll give you a great price for your trade-in," said Bob Hamilton, the executive director of the Alberta Motor Vehicle Industry Association. "But this is leading people to believe the government is giving them a bunch of money for their old cars."
Cash for Clunkers is a nickname for a U. S. government program that gives rebates of $3,500 or $4,500 for old cars.
