Retire your ride it's a federal program which gives you a rebate up to $300.00 for trading in used vehicles.

Sounds familiar

Car dealers may give you cash for your clunker, but it's misleading to use that term in advertisements, the province's motor vehicle industry council said Friday. "It's one thing to say we'll give you a great price for your trade-in," said Bob Hamilton, the executive director of the Alberta Motor Vehicle Industry Association. "But this is leading people to believe the government is giving them a bunch of money for their old cars."

Cash for Clunkers is a nickname for a U. S. government program that gives rebates of $3,500 or $4,500 for old cars.

I didn't agree with the US cash for clunkers; as the auto dealers haven't been paid yet, and are saying they barely broke even on the deal.

300 Canadian bucks? Not too much of a deal; as the scrap weight of a car nets about that. I guess it is for sure a method that cannot loose, since it is scrap value....
