I love this topic.
And I have to say I also agree.
People bang on about the Y2K scare and how people were led to believe something would happen...
The fact is, there was a real risk there. There was indeed a flaw built into the technology we had and the consequences of doing nothing were a real
threat.
With 2012 I was a little dubious at first, I considered that our translation of the Mayan calendar was probably wrong or that we had simply
misunderstood.
Then I read up on Graham Hancock and discovered his theories about a polar shift.
Still, it was a little too far-fetched for me, but it was interesting. He didn't suggest how this would happen, simply pointed out the consistencies
in religious legends, the events as they seem to have unfolded and the evidence to suggest now that it did happen.
Then I discovered Nibiru, Planet X or whatever you want to call it.
And I discovered leading Astronomers and Physicists supporting the idea that there is an as yet "unseen" mass in our solar system.
Only this year I discovered that the magnetic field of the Earth is shifting, and that there is evidence of a magnetic polar shift having happened
before. And, this is being openly supported and discussed in modern natural science circles!
In addition, we have the "cycle" of global warming, and recent science suggesting the Sun is now entering a very active phase. And all of this along
with a marked and proven increase in dramatic weather and natural disasters.
To me, these are all signs that something physical is about to happen to the Earth.
If there is another planet moving in toward us (as some suggest) the increased turbulence that will cause to our orbit would create all of these
things.
I'm not sure what to make of it all, (I don't know what to think about the interpretation of ancient legends, images or calenders for instance. We
could be very wrong) but the science behind what is happening on Earth cannot be open to interpretation. It is happening.
I would expect that if this mystery planet does exists, events will gradually increase toward 2012. Then it'll reach a peak where the Earth may or
may not "flip" on its axis.
Aside from the physical. We are indeed moving into a more enlightened stage of existence.
Through events we will be forced into re-evaluating our lives and what is important to us. We'll start switching off the TV. We'll start refusing
celebrity. We'll start appreciating real music again, not just the bands with a pretty face and an easy lyric written to make money. Animosity toward
the wealthy will grow, causing momentary violence, but that will pass as those with money and power go into hiding.
Communities will be closer-knit, providing for themselves more. We'll start limiting government power, improving on regional governance.
We're already moving away from globalisation, so as long as that continues a lot more will come about naturally.
Probably one of the most important things we can all do is switch off the TV. Ignore the MSM "news". Why does it matter if China has had an
Earthquake? Why does it matter if Israel attacks Gaza? What the hell are any of us going to do about it?
Suffering exists, it always has. Nothing you or I watch on the news can change it. Sure we can act to boycott, we can make political statements and
take moral actions personally, but that isn't driven by the images we see is it? It's driven by what we learn, and we learn little from
propaganda.
Turn to independent news, learn from others on the internet, discuss things with friends and family. Don't simply accept the words of a talking head
"specialist", they know less than you do!
It's definitely exciting looking ahead.
