I would have to agree.

If you can't move out of town you need to start digging out an underground shelter in your garden if you can afford to, or modifting your home.

An apartment a few floors up isn't bad either as it keeps you away from the fallout (if what you're talking about is nuclear) - fallout being the number 1 killer.

in big or small cities there will be gangs of theives that will try to break in and steal supplies GUARANTEED.

and if your in a big city like new york your going to be dead anyways from the nuclear blast.

so i'm thinking that way out a few miles in the bushes is the best bet actually. the illuminati will have a harder time finding you for forced microchipping (mark of the beast), and theives will also not bother going that far when they can instead plunder the goods of the city cattle.

but there is more to be decided than this. the country is also an important decision. Going north to canada may be beneficial since the hunting and fishing is great, and there is hardly any people (potential theives and murderers) to bother you. of course surviving winter will be harder, but i believe it will be worthwhile because there is plenty of wood forests for warmth (you will have bought a chainsaw of course).

on the other hand, perhaps going into a jungle in mexico, you wouldn't have to worry about winter. there would be more thieves there though.

so i say in the bush a few miles out of town (where there is no visible road leading to your place, just a small trail) in canada praries is your best bet.

opinions?

If 2012 is going to happen and a big part of me says it is- this site is a good site to find out about future maps and where to be-

If you are using the term "apocalypse"... the solution would be Jerusalem.

I only say this mildly in jest. I realize that the point of the thread has been on surviving the "apocalypse." However, the city of Jerusalem has long been considered that place at which the world will reach its culmination. Three of the world's major faiths agree on that point, and account for nearly half of the population of the entire world.

To use the term apocalypse, however, belies the religious connotation of the term, so, in "preparation of the apocalypse" ... move to Jerusalem.

If you are talking about surviving a disaster, move to Iowa or somewhere in the American heartland. As long as tornadoes and supervolcanoes aren't blowing up, you are relatively safe. Personally, I advocate the return to a mild tribe mentality in the SitX event. Run away in a group. Especially for you wilderness people out there who are saying go to the mountains... five people against a cougar will do far better than you by your lonesome. And, as far as the American heartland goes, barring a catastrophic environmental catastrophe, it will still have far more in terms of edible plants, with easier access.

In the event of a major world-ending asteroid or Nibiru!!(o noez!)... ya know... I'd want to be right under it looking up... just my 2cents
