No project was more costly in African lives than the Congo-Ocean Railway, built between 1921 and 1934 from Pointe-Noire to Brazzaville; between 15,000 and 20,000 Africans died.

KrazyJethro, i think this anti-american thread has officially ended. After i compared what france done in the African colonies to America in Iraq, nothing has been said. After two days, i've finally shown that,what the coalilitation is doing in Iraq is exactly what the French done in the colonies. The so called "Evil policy" is basicly the same policy France had, and as for the statement about France knowing how to treat arabs, i've put nails in that coffin aswell. All i can say now is, i've spent two days defending America and i think your country should give me a medal of honor for defending your country . I think the idea of this thread was to get under peoples skin, its exactly what has happened.

I know that, I mean colony, etc...and I know this history probably better than you. You are trying to make feel less guilty of your countries actual exaction by accusing my country...

You must have a criticize look on your country act, and by the way, give alittle bit less importance to patriotism and a little bit more to humanism.

Yes, but you said France knows how to treat arabs, but they don't. Your picking problems with America, when it has done the same things as France. You are also twisting things so they fit your way of thinking. As for the part about Humanism, im British, so i should know a lot about that. Its my country who created the idea of concentration camps, its my country that stood for slavery, its my country that is covered by the blood of the past.
What American troops done was wrong yes, but that doesn't mean that all Americans are like that. You are labelling the whole of America for something only a small group are guilty for. And yes America are bombers and in a sense you can call it terrorism. France has always been in the peace camp, you were even in the "peace camp" when the Nazi's were walking around Paris.

About the colony, I'm a bit disagree with your vision.

France colonized countries, sure, but bring them positives things like science, medecine, education...
We buildt schools, hospitals, and some others infrastructures in colonies.

We used to consider the colony just like France. We didn't bomb them by two times.

And we colonized also with missions.


My grand-father was an "indigen", from a north african tribe living in algeria called Amazigh (this mean the freemen). He received an education by the french monk in mission in Algeria.

I'm not sure that when you will go from Iraq, even ONE IRAQI will receive an education from you.

The only things you will give them are McDonalds and Coke. No education, no security, no social rights or political structure.

Thats because Iraq will have its OWN government by then. I would like to see France solve the problem in Iraq, France will probably end up do a "bring back saddam" campaign.

The UN is a joke, they are good for nothing but to make less informed people think they are humanitarian and care for human rights, when in truth many of the countries in the UN are dictatorships, and assasins who don't give a damn about the human rights of their own people.

Or do you mean helping Islamic extremists to exterminate non-Muslim blacks like in Rwanda?

Your people change tactics and friendships when it fits them. First they fought against Islamic extremism, then the French helped Islamic extremists against non-Muslims, and now you are helping the Chinese, trying to suppress the independance of taiwan.
