astroviewer
I've been using astroviewer and is simple. just make sure to look at it the right way.
Orion is in the southern skies with betelguese and rigal starts in it, but fairly easy to recognize Orion.
I've been viewing satrun lately and doubt it's that. Sirius is west and above of Orion and easy to spot with Aldebaran below to the east. Dwarf
planet Sedna abit east of Aldebaran.
I've seen this large star/planet all winter. Usually around 4:00 am or so each morning to the east. Even though we're now into spring, it stays in
the same place.
At the bare minimum you should provide: The Date and time, the Direction you are facing, your location, the approximate angle from the horizon - find
another celestial object nearby for reference.
