So, obviously this video doesn't give the context in which this happened, however, from what you do see on the video this man does NOTHING to resist the cops coming onto his property and just tasing him, for presumably no reason. This is completely ridiculous, and I don't remember hearing about this on the news or if it was on the news maybe it happened a while ago.

If someone can put the videon on the thread I would be happy

here is what I found about the video

I spoke to the officer in charge of public relations. He gave me some details but was reluctant to reveal the name of the individual.

The basic summary is this: The man was mentally unbalanced and was screaming about "White Power" all morning on the lawn. He was apparently hispanic, not black. The neighbors called the cops. When the police arrived, he shouted racial slurs and kept encouraging them to shoot him. He, at one point, insinuated he had a gun ("Maybe I should get my gun!"). They called in a negotiator but it did not help. Eventually they decided it was in the best interest of the public and in the best interest of the man's safety to take him into custody. They used the taser to subdue so that they could "safely take him into custody." (words of the officer I spoke to). He is currently in a mental hospital.

For the complete detailed summary of what the Police told me (including some pretty choice quotes), you can read my blogpost at The Flashscoop

Notice the one filming says "about time."

Yea, I heard the person on the video say "about time" and thank you for finding that info... how did you do that? lol.. Still, from what I saw it didn't seem like he needed to be tazed, but I guess if he had been a nuisance all day then he deserved it, maybe?

What you saw was a 50 second clip.

From the "about time" comment I'm going to lean towards this was warranted. Not to many tazer videos out there with the person who is shooting the incident commenting like this. Usually they are against what is happening.

If what jam321 posted is true then it seems it ended well for the guy. They don't bring out a negotiater for random guys sitting on the front porch doing nothing.
