This is really developing into a positive turn, if you don't focus on the bloodbath that's about to emerge in Gaza.

One. Neither the United States or Israel can be included in the discussion. Only hardcore anti-American/Israeli extremists will do this and will ultimately look ridiculous in mixed company.

The is about Hamas and Hamas only and the things that it has let exist in its house, Gaza. For once and not a moment to soon that organization is going to finally have to accept responsibility for the stench coming out of its house, instead of claiming that its coming from someone else's home.

On to Al Qaeda...there is obviously a global movement which has a policy that states that this monster MUST be associated America. I think this is the best opportunity since this war began that the true identity and nature of Al Qaeda can be determined. I know there are a lot of people out their that are wishing this day never came, but here we are. Next week as the Taliban problem in Pakistan and Afghanistan spins completely out of control, Al Qaeda will also find it difficult to hide in Waziristan. In Somalia, Al Shabaab is retreating into the wilderness without even puttin up a fight.

My bet is that when this is all mopped up it will be common knowledge that Al Qaeda is totally without United States support and at worst we may find some individual Americans (British descent probably) that are Al Qaeda supporters. This is what I love about War...it is an excellent way to determine the Truth.

Anything can be seen as positive if you don't look at the negative. How a bloodbath can be a positive turn when there are bloodbaths on a daily basis throughout the world baffles me. Its more of the same old, same old.

One, oh yes they can be. And I have already pointed out why. I'm betting there are at least a hundred threads on this site that help point out why. As for being deemed an extremist for my views, those that do so are no better than radical Islam or radical Christianity. However, if having an opinion that is contrary to the political powers that be equates me to being an extremist, I will wear that badge with pride.

As long as it is a threat against the democratically elected government of Palestine, it is indeed a Palestinian problem. As long as it affects the lives of Palestinians, it is most definitely a Palestinian problem.

Lets assume for a moment that Al-Qaeda, our mortal enemy, has zero ties to anything Western. Let's assume that radical Islam has decided to turn its back on the Hamas party for not sticking to radical Islamic values. Could it not follow that Hamas is obviously then "improving" in ideology more closely identified to non-radical society? And if such is the case, is this not the time to find ways to help them maintain that status instead of allowing them to be taken out by Al-Qaeda and slip back into radicalism?

Oh good, back to reality. I am personally no part of any global movement, I simply no how to read my own, and others' research. The conclusions are more likely than not, Al-Qaeda is in some manner associated with Western powers.

Wishing this day never came, absolutely. Our entire existence as human beings has been mottled with the cancerous growths of violence and death. Seeing another instance of this is not what I would consider heartwarming, nor would I find it a victory.

Militant Theocracy, as perfected by Tamerlane, and adopted by so many throughout history is dead. Hamas, a student of this school of governance, is slated for destruction. I don't know who will land the death blow...but Al Qaeda, whatever that is...is a better group to do the job than the alternatives.

The whole world did nothing but watch as Velupillai Prabhakaran's shadow state was demolished by the Sri Lankan government in May. As city after city fell and the Tamils were put into camps...the international community was nearly silent on this topic. It existed and was built up for nearly 30 years, but when it's time for destruction arrived it only took 15 months to dismantle it. The same will be true for Hamas and when their forces have been neutralized and its leaders are totally naked...the end will come and then you will understand that this is Hamas' problem and noone elses.

Actually the alquida affiliated group are more conservative then the hamas infact they even go as far as saying that hamas are too liberal in their views. I think this is the only time i am going to say this but go hamas if hamas are more liberal i totally support them over alquida (sp) and wish many more deaths to bin ladens men who try to meddle in these situations.

Also if the american government is trying to fight hamas through al quida they are doing a poor job either hamas's intelligence was onto something or the americans got sloppy so i don't think america is pulling the strings.

P.S. I am sorry for all the spelling mistakes i have not got firefox like i used to and my P.C. settings were set up by someone more I.T. literate than myself so i can't install anything lol thanks for reading.

Will this end up as a situation like "Enemy of My Enemy is My Friend" or will it turn into something else. That would be the strangest truce ever. I think Israel should let Al-Qaeda do its stuff, don't support it or endorse it otherwise it'll end up like the United States' previous relationship with Afghan terror cells. Sounds interesting, only the coming days will provide more information on this threat of war.

Also, this has already happened in Iraq with Awakening Councils taking on Al-Qaeda in the largely Sunni south.

Honestly, for once......

The US is on the sidelines just watching what is happening.

From the US point of view, which-ever sides loses people and weapons, the US wins.

I realize that is a cold view, but when observing terrorists, it tends to happen.
