It'd make a disaster movie, theory wise, but beyond that, it's be a B-flick.

I'm one to take Phage's info as rock solid a great majority of the time. And he's more often right than wrong... and can back up his information with FACTS, I tend to listen to him on this sort of thing.
But since I was curious where this particular 'EOET' (End of Everything Theory) came from and if Hellion 1957 was even a registered celestial object.... I went looking.
So I slapped Hellion 1957 into Google and hit search.
It takes looking at less that two search results pages to see that 1- it's not scientifically grounded. 2- that most of the hits listed are from Godlike Productions, or ATS
Also a brown dwarf would be nearly the size of Jupiter, which would make it very easy to spot for astronomers. You would be able to see it with cheap binoculars were it close enough to even threaten to hit the Sun. (Much less the Earth.)
As to question a question asked elsewhere: If a brown dwarf had stuck Jupiter the impact would have been catastrophic for Jupiter. Likely had a collision of that magnitude happened, Jupiter would be forming a new asteroid belt, and we'd be in deep kaka by now. (Due to the outliers smashing into our planet.).
