I was not sure where this thread would best be posted but this looked like as good a board and any. The political ideology spectrum is well represented here at ATS and at times I find it fun to mix it up. The hottest issue right now is our ability to be a civil society, one that can debate like ladies and gentlemen and treat each other with respect. I remember how hot tempers were when I got out of the service in 1970 when Nam was almost over, but what I see today is different. This time it is the supposed adults, people you would expect would have a degree of civility in their behavior. The behavior we have been seeing lately is drawing the attention of many and some find it frightening. I myself am dumbfounded by such childish behavior and self defeating tactics. What really worries me is the deviously intelligent elite, the corporate class that will use these people to take us further down a road the majority does not want to go.

What is Fascism, are some of us fascist without recognizing it, are some of us being used? Are we becoming a Fascist country? This link is a good perspective on that question.

Hey, pappie, IMO most American's today have fascism built in. Just look at the boards here; I was having trouble placing it, but I realized there are a lot of beckonites...... Glenn Beck.

I cannot think of a more subversive, submissive, sublimenal mind control TV personality.

Without mentioning names many people on these boards fit him his 'teachings' to a tee; right out of a Jim Jones Kool Aid afternoon.

Yes, I think fascism is rampent in the US, but much of it the people don't even realize it was crammed down their throats by the Elite, and their agenda.

With ya, it seems that the elite rely on the ignorant and uneducated to keep themselves in the cat bird seat. It is unbelievable that out of ignorance so many people vote against their own best economic interest. The lives are so unrewarding that they live for simple things like guns and their church and if you can tag them there, they will follow you anywhere and the elites of the republican party knows it. Look what the bankers of that elite got away with. You don't see rocket scientist and theologians yelling and disrupting town hall meetings. Even the leaders behind them hide behind their mic and computers and use the gullible to do their bidding. Most of them are church goers yet they have all forgotten what the real teachings of Christ were all about. Do unto others, turn the other cheek, care about your fellow man, do not kill. That is not the description of a republican. Such people were never taught the honor of civility and chivalry, politeness and respect for others so they make a good tool for the elites to pull out when they are out of arguments. That is what we are seeing today.
We have got to start teaching history and civil government in the schools again, the pool of stupid in this country is growing and we best get a handle on it before we all drown in its effect. I live in Texas and the stupid is real deep down here.

I think you can see a bit of every ideology in every government around the world. Facism, socialism, communism, capitalism, etc... are a part of every government in some way.

But people seem to love labels, and create fears or ideals around each one. They want to believe things are either this or that, right or wrong, good or evil - almost in a territorial way.

Truth is, all those systems are just different faces of the same - elites running the the show based on the ideals of scarcity, control and regulation.

Read up a great lot of history on Nazi Germany and look at the parallels existing in the United States today.

It's 1933 all over again.

Fascism in a nutshell:

Totalitarian dictatorship led by a fuhrer
Government pulling the strings on the private sector
Concentration camps
Police state
