Is the USA even a Constitutional Republic anymore?

It has become abundantly clear to me that this is no longer our form of government which we have in the States.

The fact that we have allowed these things called 'Presidential Directives' to exist is almost proof enough; but then take into account that one of the more recent ones (PDD 51) allows the POTUS to "suspend the constitution" for a number of different vague reasons, and this would be "legal".

We now have a new puppet president who I'm sure sees no problem with this, and wouldn't even think of getting rid of said PDD. In more likelihood he will probably use this same PDD as his basis of legality, should he ever choose to "suspend the constitution".

Maybe we should inform wikipedia of this:
en.wikipedia.org...

Nevermind, looks like they already know:
en.wikipedia.org...

Presidential directives are a form of executive order issued by the President of the United States with the advice and consent of the National Security Council. As a form of executive order, a presidential directive has the "full force and effect of law."

If you go to wiki via that link, and look on the right hand side of the page you will see listings for the different 'Forms of Government'.

I've read through most or all of them and IMO our current form of government shows the most resemblance to an unspoken/unwritten 'Corporatocracy':
en.wikipedia.org...

Which do you all think best describes the 'Form of Government' we have these days, over here in the USA?

Nope.

It's become a Federalized oligarchy.

The erosion of the Tenth Amendment, and the personal income tax are the enablers.

That Washington crowd is dug in deeper than a tick, and they aren't pulling their heads out of the trough until they either pop, or someone rips them out with force.

It's been many years since our "representatives" in Congress have actually represented us. They vote according to what is good for their pocketbook, their party and their political careers. Sadly, Congress runs this country.

Not really. Maybe 'those who bribe/pay and control congress & the executive' run the country.

But in the OP I note what a Presidential Directive is. Since the POTUS can just write something on paper "with the advice and consent of the NSC" and it can be implemented with the "full force and effect of law", he could write one tomorrow which says congress doesn't exist.

Nope. Anyone who has their head removed from the sand can clearly see that according to the definitions, the United States of America is a fascist police state.

I agree with that, they have been doing a lot of this recently:

Fascist governments forbid and suppress criticism and opposition to the government

National socialism. That was what the nazis called themselves. Ironic that our first black President thinks along the same lines as Hitler. Take over the big corporations in the name of a 'bail out' and turn over full control to the government. Forcing bills and taxes down our throats and calling American citizens 'right wing extremeists' and 'domestic terrorists' for protesting the Obamacare bill.

They are the only extremists. The white house is going absolutely crazy with power and greed, Pelosi is gone off the deep end, they spend 5550 million bucks on a whim to get new jets for the elected officials and we are left to starve with no work and no trickle down from the all mighty stimulus plan that just absolutely had to happen... BS... total BS. Darn its irritating.

It's really time to wake up and smell the poo. Things are changing right in front of our eyes! What good is a town hall meeting when the media throws its spin on it to make the citizens look like the ones who are wrong? What good is an elected Congress when they refuse to listen to their constituants?? They sure as hell aren't doing whats best for the people who elected them.

They are all crooks.

Well, I would call it a

Representative Oligarchy

The rich are being represented, not the people.

First I would suggest people read the most important document in the founding of America.

It really is not the Constitution. It really is not the Decleration of Independence. It really is not the Articles of Confederation.

It really is...The Treaty of Paris where the United States became a legal, lawful state.

Read it very carefully, read it literally not figuratively.

Take every last title starting with King George and put it into Google, don't asume you know what any one title means even if you think you do.

Take note of how the document is written, who is writing it, who is dictating to whom and what, and who is accepting what is being dictated and how.

Next move on to the Treaty of Ghent ending the War of 1812. Do the same thing with the titles, especially with our eight signing representatives.

Take special note of passages that state all parties have fully communicated and understand and accept each others respective powers.

Take special note of passages that are foot noted that say "Refer to Secret Committees of Congress"

Read once again how it being dictated and who is dictating and who is accepting.

Understand that these Treaties are legally binding contracts with legal entities all bound in the same system of International Contract Law.

Study the real history of the early United States, it is out there to find, especially the period after 1812 to 1835.

Find a copy of the real 13th Amendment it wasn't written in 1865 it was written in 1810 barring all nobility from public office which would include all lawyers who hold the title of Esquire which is one step below a knight in the Engligh Crown.

If you do your research well, and you really need to do it yourself so you can really prove it to yourself you won't be able to sleep for a couple of days.

You will though know what to call your glorious and fine government and nation though...

ROME!

Hail Caesar!
