Well IMO what this administration should really do is tell China to stop playing with the Yuan's Value. Then open their markets to more American products while keeping the playing field even. That way we can make money so we can pay them back. Not just give away the store.

I think the best example of this is when Clinton took $500,000+
in campaign contributions for releasing Loral's technology for
advanced guidance systems for Nuclear Weapon ICBM's.

The Clinton - China - Loral deal

That one takes the cake in my books.

Also keep in mind I think both main parties are fundamentally corrupt
save a few of them like Ron Paul.

The hour is late, and the bell tolls for what was the United States.

Good Luck to you all !

see it is well under way and has been for a LONG time.

Like Locust they move in and bleed a country dry just like Mr. Perkins

We have all been distracted by our "bread and circuses" just like they
used in the end of the roman empire, and here we are again.

Prepare accordingly...

Good Luck to you all !

I think that this is part of the plan. I think it is a win win situation for both parties involved.

The other thing is that I think China is staffed with legions of IT experts who know very well how to hack into public and private US networks and they also have a military dept dedicated to "cyber warfare." I am sure they are studying carefully or already know how to cripple vast civilian and military IT systems, screw around with financial computing systems, etc.

It was a LOT easier than that.

Chinese hacked into pentagon

How it was done.

$76 million in Cisco gear seized

They didn't stop with the pentagon either, you can dismiss it being
that minor.

They broke into about 103 different governments and most ISPs.

103 countries and untold millions hacked by China

Many computers I find root kitted and hacked trace back to chinese
IP addresses.

This is not a cute and cuddly dragon, this is a dragon that remembers
the opium wars ,and like an elephant, has a long memory.

Give it some thought.

Good Luck to you all !

It might be in an effort to get China to buy more of our debt. We are so far in debt and addicted to it that we need another hit. We are like crack addicted whores to debt.

We suck you long time China..please help us!!!!

The financial indebting sector (the PTB) has found a new "dear nation" for itself. China is a growing and developing nation with good perspective, while USA is now on its path to entropy.

It's now Chinese turn to get in debt.

Clever boys

Well recently at the bond auctions some monkey business went down,
and China who usually shows up for all of them did not.

Key phrase from Questioning All's post:

"A fuse was lit this week when traders noted China's apparent absence from direct participation in two Treasury bond auctions."

Questioningall's post on bond sale failure

That is a first.

If it starts to happen with other countries our spending like a drunken sailor
has come to an end unless we monetize our own debt, ie. the Fed buys
its own printed money at interest and sends us down the road of
Hyperinflation just like Zimbabwe.

We have been warned about that too.

Hyperinflation Nation

If this happens, the Great Depression will look like a joke.

The part most ppl do not know is this was done on purpose
and it is a giant scam due to the $1,400 Trillion in derivatives.

Confessions of an Economic Hitman

So while ppl have bought things they did not need, and ppl defaulted
on loans, and such if you total it up it comes no where near the
giant derivatives monster.

$1,000 Trillion in derivatives hid on SEC unregulated penny stock market

We are in the middle of the greatest theft ponzi scheme in history.

Massive drop in tax revenues

The cracks in the facade are starting to show.

Here's an interesting perspective. I thought I throw it in.

China to surpass U.S. in manufacturing by 2015 on road to Empire

It is unthinkable that China would bail on the U.S. considering the relationship is so codependent, because China thrives on U.S. trade and consumption of their manufactured goods. Not to mention that China, along with many other countries, indirectly pays the U.S. to be the “Leviathan”, policing the world to ensure stability. China buys our bonds and we make sure rogue states stay in line.

The U.S. military budget is at approximately $636 billion in 2009, which is more than the rest of the world combined. It's double the total military spending of the EU, and is just under 10 times the size of China’s military expenditures – although China’s military spend has been growing rapidly, relatively speaking. The U.S. indeed monitors the world with nearly 1,000 military facilities in 46 countries and territories - like some ubiquitous goliath maintaining world order.

Well I know we are not making nearly as many cars as we used to,
thou in some ways that may be a good thing.

Most of the clothing manufacturing is gone, same for textiles.

Most manufacturing jobs that could be shipped overseas have,
the ones that could not are being filled by 68 different types
of Visa worker whether the Visa was intended for working or not.

68 different types of visas

When all the illegals and Visa workers feel the pinch here too much
they will return to their countries of origin, and that will leave
10's of millions more of empty residences to further deflate the
housing market.

"In the fall of 2006 USDA had enrolled 36 million acres, which is the world’s largest conservation program."

www.farmgate.uiuc.edu...

36 million acres of farm land being paid to NOT grow food.

So we are being setup for a disaster of biblical proportions...again.

The Lucent plant here in OKC has sat empty for years.

Most US companies are laying off.

The true U6 unemployment rate without manipulations is near 21%.

True U6 unemployment numbers near 21%

At 21% U6 unemployment we are approaching Great Depression levels.

US employment chart during the Depression

Once GM splits into two companies, one overseas, and the dead man
walking here in the US they will close the US branch and absolve
themselves of the ties to the US.

They opened large plants in India and Russia, and parts supply is being
shifted to china and elsewhere.

It seems the only real obvious way to make a living would be investing in these large internationals. That's a really sad proposition. Invest on foreign production that works against our own sectors just to make some money.

Maybe, they seem to manipulate the market to whatever suits them.

GM is not doing well last I checked.

I think some of them even did short sells on their own company.

I'd be more inclined to invest in local organic food groups until
the new food law makes selling organic food illegal.

Then grow it yourself for just yourself.

Or invest in something that keeps the money in your community,
which is getting harder to come by these days.

Invest in tangibles like tools and such that you know how to use,
and find a friend or family member outside the major cities that
has some land and is willing to take you in during a national crisis.

Plan on hand tools, not power tools, just in case the grid goes down.

Also make yourself a full bugout bag, and get all your survival gear
in order for a possibly rough several years ahead of us.

The "hyperinflation nation" video on youtube says if what happened
in 1980 happens again, we will see silver go up 2,000%.

It likely won't go up that much, but that video has a lot of good info in it.
