I was reading articles in favorite science related websites when I came across these spectacular images of the inside of an exploding star or also know as Supernova.

Physicists at the Argonne National Laboratory in Chicago have used the IBM Blue Gene/P supercomputer to model the extreme physics of a supernova explosion

Hey thats pretty cool. Gonna see if I can find more information on this. This is potientialy a great thing. This technology will only get better and would allow for understanding other surrounding stars. Sweet find!

We can take photos of an exploding star light years away from us but we cant feed the homeless people starving in sight of Capitol Hill. WTF is wrong with our society?

Well this is very true. But its like that because someone out there wants it that way my friend. I suggest you check some other threads that talk about this specifically.

These aren't pictures of any actual star, it is just a computer simulation based upon the physics.

It's a model done on a computer from data collected by scientists.

This is very cool.

The newest super computer has to be pretty quick to compute the physics involved in figuring out an exploding super nova.

Now, if we could just get it to figure out where the Fed put all that money?

Where is all the money?
