Every PIECE of Obama's life should be open to inspection!

I know you guys have been following this:
Officers Run Background Check On Obama; Placed On Leave

Thank You, Lpowell0627 for bringing that one here.

We have a man, that is the President of the United States. There are many, many questions about his background, his nationality, his place of birth, his past in general.

A United States president should be completely open with his people. We should know everything we need to know about him to be informed about his intentions and qualifications. What would be the reason we are being kept in the dark?

This isn't a thread about his birth certificate, his eligibility or any of the other things that we would be considered terrorists for thinking or writing about. It's about the transparency of the people we vote in to office. Obama was voted in for change, for his promises of increased transparency in government.

Whether you voted for Obama or not, I think we have the right to know about his past. At my job, I was given a federal background check and continue to get them annually. You know who runs these? The cops. Why should a cop not be able to run the same report on ANY elected official? I feel that once you sign up to serve your people, your life should become public record.

I really don't CARE if Obama was born in Hawaii. I really don't CARE if he hung out with known terrorists. I really don't CARE if he was in bed with Acorn and probably still is. All of that means very little today, as he is IN office.

What I would like to see is some sort of reform where any elected official is subjected to the same scrutiny and discovery as any private citizen. Why should they be any different?

Each person is allowed a little privacy even the President.

I don't want to know the scedule he is on to take a crap.

I don't want to know how many times he makes love to Michelle (I shudder at the thought).

I don't want to know anything personal. If it is political then yes I want to know, other then that give a man some space.

Maybe you want to know if he finds the water cold or cold and deep, I perfer not to know everything about a man.

Don't try to antagonize me JD. I know it's hard for you.

You really think we are all entitled to a little privacy? Since when? We live in a surveillance state. If it's good enough for us, it's good enough for him.

I don't know ANYONE that wants intimate details about his marital affairs.

I'm not really interested in too much personal either, but how many of YOUR personal details are available? What about your business dealings? Can anyone find THOSE out?

If he has made any decision, or taken any action that in any way relates to his qualifications to lead his country, we should know about it.

What is the comment about the water? I get the reference, just not sure why you need to explicitly exert your 'straightness' in a thread about government transparency. I have a theory though.

Should there be reasonable limits? Sure. I suppose I might not have been clear enough about that when I originally ranted.

When a person becomes an elected official, do they immediately get a clean slate, erasable ink and cloak of invulnerability? It would seem that way. Well...unless of course they happen to be on the wrong side of the power base.

I agree, and have echoed your thoughts in a previous thread I made.

I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

Politicans Do Not Deserve Any Privacy In Office

This is the type of government system that should be in placed, at least at the politician level.

Thanks Ten. I guess I should diversify my keyword searches a little bit. Didn't mean to detract from your efforts. Just got ticked for some reason today and need to practice breathing before posting.

Ohh no no don't worry about it, I was just referencing my thread as a companion piece to yours.

That one I linked is pretty old anyway.

I don't think you will have anyone argue that every part of his political life should be transparant, but thats now what you said.

Title- Obama's Life Should Be Transparent .

Your first line- Every PIECE of Obama's life should be open to inspection!

By your own admission you want to know personal and political information and I have to wonder.

What gives us the right to know what he does with his private time? If it doesn't affect his ability to perform his political job then it is none of your buisness.

Do you think your employer is allowed access to each piece of your life? If not why the contradiction?

Perhaps it is better to say that Obama's past should be transparent.

His policies and political practices should also be transparent.

I find it bizarre how there are news reports of like ordinary stuff Obama and his family do. like Michelle's garden and stuff. it's almost like a cult of personality. Bush sucked but the media never made him look like a god.
