I'm just getting started in the art of body henna. I was wondering if anyone here was familiar...

I feel like powder is the way to go, instead of paste. I have no idea about bottles versus carrot cones versus mylar cones. I don't know which powder to buy, which darkening agents to use, what oils to mix with.

I'd like to order some supplies in the near future (next week or so), so prompt responses would be appreciated. Thanks, guys!

Interesting...

My dancers use that
A few years ago we had one teacher that was also a Henna expert but she moved to Cali...

Here is one

Yasmina's Joy of Belly Dancing
www.joyofbellydancing.com...

he Henna Page is an educational resource
devoted to the history, traditions, techniques, science and art of Henna,
and is part of a site group devoted to Henna and related arts.

What you will be looking for... Henna art is under TRIBAL Belly Dancing, particularly of the Berber Tribes in Moroccco.

Because that style is more tradition and less sexually oriented, thus more acceptable for public displays, it is more popular. Also it allows for more full figured dancers to participate

Three of my teachers..

The Dancers

Sigh... I miss those days... time to rebuild the Guild

I'm a Middle Eastern Dancer, too. Been doing it for 5+ years. (Haven't seen it in some of my BTS posts?)

Here's my teacher:
