Ok honestly, I respect it's a very noble cause. And prior to today I was also spreading the word. I told everyone that I cared about that under no circumstance should they get the swine flu vaccine, or any other vaccines (especially the HPV vaccines for women). They all listened and agreed to the facts and told me they wouldn't get it.

But, I would still reiterate the facts and repeatedly assure everyone on this forum that swine flu was nothing to fear, but the vaccine was. Since day 1 of the swine flu hysteria I spoke out against it directly, and at the time ruffled many feathers. This was a clear demonstration of problem, reaction, solution, as we have seen so many times in the past.

The facts and statistics show that this virus is absolutely insignificant, theoretically there are thousands of things which kill more people every year that swine flu has killed. Thus, people should be mad their governments are wasting billions on toxic vaccines to protect them from something that doesn't really need protection.

Put it this way, if we compared this to the biggest killer, obesity and it's related diseases, swine flu would have to run rampant for over 500 years, just to compare to one year of deaths by obesity.

Every year, you are over 300 times more likely to die from the good old regular season flu. Once you understand all this information, how could you possibly agree to taking a potentially lethal vaccine?

---------

So, if people with all this information available STILL DECIDE to get a vaccine. Good riddance. We need far less ignorant fools on this planet anyways. Quit trying to tell the world and tell everyone you LOVE & CARE about instead.

I don't think we have to worry about any health care professionals vaccinating people against their will. I work in a hospital, and I for one, don't think anyone is going to force vaccinations on anyone. Just because the government makes it "mandatory", doesn't mean that people will be forced to get vaccines.

Think about it.....it's mandatory to not exceed 75 mph on the interstate. Does it happen? Sure!

It's mandatory to not do illegal drugs. Do people still do it? Yes!

It's mandatory to not kill people. Do people still do it? Sure!

Just because the government says that everyone must get the flu vaccine, I seriously don't think they will enforce it on those of us who are unwilling to get it. And I can't see healthcare practitioners and police and military knocking on the doors of those unwilling to get vaccinanations!

So, I for one, am not going to get a vaccination. Will they make me? No. I doubt it. Every year, they offer me a flu vaccine, and every year I say no. This year, if they offer me a swine flu vaccine, I'll say no.

If they hunt me down and force it on me, I"ll quit my job. That's all. Because I for one, will not get the swine flu vaccine, and I will not force it on anyone who doesn't want one.

Besides, who on earth is going to enforce people getting flu vaccines? We can't even enforce illegal immigration, and it's usually a heck of a lot easier to pick out an illegal immigrant than it is to pick out someone who not gotten a vaccine. How will they enforce it? They can't!

We can sure hope that everyone resisits any mandatory vaccination program...hopefully to the extent they realize it is futile. We can hope...

I know several heath care professionals, and a doctor too said no way no how will they take the vac or will they make thier staff take the vac.

TPTB...well they will need a giant staff of government employed people to try to pull this off...

I would say they dont stand a chance...not this year at least. Maybe this is just the first year of many like this though...

All these threads are good, they help spread the word.

Know the facts about vaccinations, and educate your self, and others.

Fight fire with fire.

Well my fiancee and I have already had the so-called Swine Flu (or as we in the media are "encouraged" to call it H1N1) so I am not too worried about getting it again. It was more an annoyance than anything in our case. It was not a particularly bad flu, I've had ones that landed me in the hospital before, this one was nowhere near that. It did linger for a couple of weeks though, with a cough and some sneezing but that was really it.

On the whole I am generally quite for vaccination programmes however, here in the United States I don't believe anyone will be forced to get the vaccination against their will, perhaps intimidated but not physically forced. In fact there are several stories I've read starting to come out questioning weather or not we will even have enough of the shot for all the people that want it! The government will probably pick up the vaccination production in time but as of right now there are plans for only 160 million doses to be ready at the start of the programme, and testing has shown that two doses may be needed for maximum effectiveness.

I will be moving out of the US before the vaccination programme begins in October (I'm being transferred from California to London, kicking and screaming mind you, but my fiancee wants to go so ah well) What will be interesting is seeing how the more authoritarian government of the United Kingdom will treat the issue. I can see there being forced vaccinations in London, and the public having little or no problem with it.
