Any round hitting you is going to mess you up, no one should try to kid themselves. And "dodging" them is only a pipedream.

Thumb? Hell, 50 cal is the size of a pen practically. AK-47 bullets I know spin and flip, cutting through what they hit, though I think they have a shorter firing range

I agree that I would rather face bullets. You can take cover better, and their area of effect isn't as wide as the pain ray.

Like I told the other poster, knock yourself out.

But when you're lying in a pool of your own blood, trying to scoop your guts back inside of yourself after being stitched with 5.56, that's the wrong time to think you might have made an error.
