I know that it's only one pollster, but Rasmussen in his daily tracking poll for today has President Obama's over all approval rating slipping below 50%, and a Presidential Approval Index of -8. Could it be that America is growing tired of Obama, or as the pundits would say, "Is the Honeymoon over?"

Many of the statistics that have included in this report are interesting. It seems like America doesn't approve of what the government is doing at all! This is hardly the impression that I get from news coverage here in Germany. A few of the most interesting things in this report are:

  1. Fifty-three percent (53%) now oppose the Congressional health care reform package.
  2. Thirty-one percent (31%) now say the U.S. is heading in the right direction. That’s down nine points from the 2009 peak.
  3. Republicans continue to enjoy a slight edge on the Generic Congressional Ballot.

Hopefully America is waking up, as a whole. And things can actually, in the future, start heading back in the right direction.
