NEWARK (Reuters) - Dozens of New Jersey politicians, officials and prominent rabbis were arrested on Thursday in a sweeping federal probe that uncovered political corruption, human organ sales and money laundering from New York to Israel, officials said.

The 10-year investigation, dubbed "Operation Bid Rig," exposed influence-peddling and bribe-taking among a network of public officials and a separate multimillion dollar money-laundering ring that funneled funds through charities operated by local rabbis, said the U.S. Attorney's office in Newark, New Jersey.

Wait...what just happened? Corrupt local politicians got arrested?

This is a great story, and as far as I know the first time corruption in the states has a direct (and proven) link to Israel. Now I would really like to know who in Israel benefited from the US corruption. If there is a link to Israeli politics, then the feces just hit the fan. You could then argue that Israel is anything but an ally.

I wonder if the politicians who got caught are going to try and strike a deal. I am so hoping for them to name some higher ups.

The story says nothing about "butchering bodies in Israeli prisons to sell organs."

Case #4863 of antisemitic lying dribble from a usual source around here that seems to get their rocks off inventing and attributing atrocities to the people they love to hate.

It's guys like this that give Israelis a bad name...

And to think this all ties in with a MAYOR and HUMAN KIDNEY SALES...
this is wiiild and crazy stuff.

The probe also uncovered Levy Izhak Rosenbaum of Brooklyn, who is accused of conspiring to broker the sale of a human kidney for a transplant. According to the complaint, Rosenbaum said he had been brokering sale of kidneys for 10 years.

"His business was to entice vulnerable people to give up a kidney for $10,000 which he would turn around and sell for $160,000," said Marra.

It's not about Israeli prisoners, it's about vulnerable people in the US.
