The likelihood that we'll develop strong AI (truly intelligent, smarter than us, self-improving) in the next 20 years is far greater than us contacting Extraterrestrial Intelligence in the same time frame.

Despite this great imbalance, no one seems concerned about strong AI. Which kind of proves my point that maybe humans aren't truly "intelligent" after all and deserve to be over taken by strong AI.
