Murder one was committed in the area adjacent to the hospital, and very close to Whitechapel Station.

Murder two was committed in the rear yard of 29 Hanbury Street, just of Brick Lane. This murder is a distance away from any station and no tube lines run under the area, however, he could have cut across Spitalfields Market, if it was a market day, 5.30 to 6.00 am, the market would be busy, someone in an apron covered in blood would blend in quite easily. The market had only been constructed the year before. Another civil engineering project.

Both murders three and four were committed by the main line and according to the Jack map, very close to engine sheds or goods yards attached to the railway.

Five, like two, is in the region of Spitalifields Market and some distance from a rail line.

Also, convenient for murders one, two and five, a mail rail line runs from White chapel to Liverpool street (and on throughout London). This line runs (underground) through the far end of Hanbury Street and as the crow flies, also undersects Brick Lane a short walking distance from where Annie Chapman was murdered on Hanbury Street.

Liverpool Street Station;

The station was built on the site of the original Bethlem Royal Hospital, was opened to traffic on 2 February 1874 by the Great Eastern Railway and was completely operational from 1 November 1875. From this date the original terminal, Bishopsgate, closed to passengers. It reopened as a goods station in 1881

The construction of the station was due to the desire of the company to gain a terminal closer to the city than the one opened by the predecessor Eastern Counties Railway, at Shoreditch, that had opened on 1 July 1840. This station was renamed "Bishopsgate" in 1846. The construction proved extremely expensive due to the cost of acquiring property and many people were displaced due to the large scale demolitions. The desire to link the GER lines to those of the sub-surface Metropolitan Railway, a link seldom used and relatively soon abandoned, also meant that the GER's lines had to drop down to below ground level from the existing viaducts east of Bishopsgate. This means that there are considerable gradients leading out of the station. Lord Salisbury, who was chairman of the Great Eastern in 1870, said that the Liverpool Street extension was "one of the greatest mistakes ever committed in connection with a railway."

Murder four was committed close to Aldgate station which is the last stop on the Metropolitan line that was at that time unused and ran directly to Liverpool Street Station.

Whitechapel station, close to murder one, is on the Hammersmith line and runs to Liverpool Street.

The Mail Rail runs from Whitechapel to Liverpool Street and undersects streets a short walking distance from murders two and five.

You know me, I just had to bust your chops, young Padoun.

We need to come up with an ATS Conspiracy Theory Detective Corps.

Jack the Ripper, Marilyn Monroe, and Bigfoot would be our first three cases.

I did start a thread about something like this :

Becoming a Detective of Conspiracy Theories

We need a motto now, something other than "Deny Ignorance".

The case of Jack the Ripper always fascinated me, but like the "case" against the suspected "lone gunman" Lee Harvey Oswald, did "he" act alone?

I believe Lee Harvey Oswald was a patsy, through and through, a diversion while the real killers got away.

So, young slueth, was "Jack the Ripper" just a diversion, while someone else got away with murder?

You need to wait a couple of case reviews away and I will explain all..lol.. I will come back to Jack after this next case review I am doing (Lord Lucan). The one after Lord Lucan will link back to Jack the Ripper and prehaps add a new twist to this already sensational and mysterious case.

Wow,KilgoreTrout good work!
the first murder was in a perfect area right by the station and the others had some good escape routes as well.Mary Kelly's place now that was nowhere near either a tube station or mail line he had time to work that's one thing I always thought about after he murdered her I guess he simply walked out of there and hailed a coach.

I agree with you, it was probably Aaron Kosminski (I may have the spelling wrong). He seems the most likely candidate.

The theory though about Jill is interesting and one I have never heard.

Great research, keep em coming!

Thank you for the kind words and always Bombeni
I as well think that Aaron is the best suspect.

I have been busy as of late and I will get to work on the next case review soon, so do not worry.

Please note the incedible similarity between the picture of Aaron Kosminski and the BBC photo kit image. The points in common are uncanny.... The forehead, the fat nasal bridge, the dip under the bottom lip, the cheek bones, the sideburns and the high ears! If you turn up the moustache where it is turned down............ I put them side by side and it's spooky! I can't post them together here, but they're easy to find, copy and paste into Word etc.

Great post Myth!!! Star and Flag from me. I actually went to London a couple of years ago and went on a Jack the Ripper tour where they take you to all of the murder scenes. All of them are still the same as they were except for one. It was like going back in time. It is a very creepy part of town.

I tried finding your picture in a still form and I couldn't do it. But the similarity is pretty cool. I will continue to try and find the correct picture, but yes, its all interesting. I still think he did it.

Historian Mei Trow has suggested Robert Mann, a morgue attendant as a suspect.

Quote from article:

"An historian claims to have uncovered the identity of Jack the Ripper by using modern police forensic techniques.
Mei Trow also believes that the notorious Whitechapel murderer was responsible for the deaths of an additional two women.
He has concluded that Robert Mann, a local morgue attendant, was the killer who terrorised east London in 1888 and who was officially credited with dismembering five prostitutes".

My debut on this part of the site...

I have to say that Francis Tumbelty,to my mind, has to be the prime suspect until someone comes up with some serious evidence to suggest why it wasn't him.
1 he was in |London when the murders happened, they stopped after he left

2 he had a collection of womens body parts and approached the museum about purchasing more, but was turned down.

3 A landlady in Whitechapel reported that, a mysterious american rented a room form her and was seen returning to said room with blood on him the night of the last murder. The stranger then vanished.

4 Tumbelty had a pathological hatred of women after discovering his wife was a prostitute. he followed her one night and discovered her selling herself.

5 Scotland yard followed him to New York and tried to arrest him for questioning. The American press was full of stories about how the *Ripper suspect* was in New York and wanted for questioning.

6 On Tumbelty's death, amongst the possessions that were catalogued were the following. " cheap imitation gold rings. The Ripper's first victim had 2 cheap imitation gold rings ripped from her fingers.

7. After Tumblety's escape, the Scotland yard investigation was, in effect, closed.

Just to clear onething up.. the writing on the wall did not say...

"The Jews are the men that will not be blamed for nothing".

It actually said...

"The Juwes are the men that will not be blamed for nothing".

Some claim it is a reference to the three guys who murdered the builder of Solomon's temple.
