strange symbols - possible masonic link??

A friend was at a wedding the other day in Broome Park near Canterbury and saw these strange symbols. Does anyone have any idea what they are or what meanings they have? We would appreciate anyones help on this subject.Sorry I cant upload the photos directly, I cant find how to do it...

it could be the five books of the Torah for Jews, the Five Pillars of Islam for Sunnis, or the five People of the Cloak for Shi'ites.

the wheels, could be a lot of stuff www.symbols.com...

the wheel divided in 8: in Buddhism is the wheel of life, it could be a symbol of Christ, it could be solar

the wheel divided in 6: can be the World Wheel, could be solar

It is difficult to say what this arrangement means.
Maybe it means Christ has a lock on the world of Jews and Muslims.
Maybe it means we must be wary of evil in the world under the Sun.
Maybe it means if you live a righteous life and stay away from evil the world is yours.

It is a pretty bizarre image whatever it means.

I am not sure what these symbols mean. They are very beautiful though, very fitting with the arches too. I like it very much, thanks for sharing!

In my point of view,

The wheel: Although the wheel looks like the wheel of dharma it can be the wheel of samsara, or to call it in the western way "wheel of fortune, wheel of fate" .

The Hand: The hand is the tool to be successful.

The Eye: It means the awaken knowledge

The Ring: The Power

So for me it means: Knowledge through awakening or reaching enlightment, gives you the power to get out of the consequences of the turning of the wheel. Reaching Dharma..


But then again, this is from a quite buddhist perspective..

I am no expert, but I agree, it has much more of the feel of Eastern religion about it than Western Freemasonry.

There is nothing at all there that I can identify as being Masonic.

I guess my thoughts about the masonic link was the eye, as in all seeing eye - perhaps I was reading too much into it?

I found something saying ''hamsa'' is equivalent to ''I am he'' or ''he is I''.

So you have some dude locked in the Earth.
I guess the solar/world thing is the 3/4 thing or the gods/earths thing. Mankind made manifest in the Earthly matter.

Then you have something along the lines of God's son given to the World. Or something. Or other. Or else.

Maybe Proud Mary keeps on burning and the big wheel keeps on turning and that bridge leads to an orgy at the castle.
