To get there we need to go on a journey. Breathe deeply and relax. Do you see how blue the sky is? Have you ever imagined such a place? Look at that lake down the hill toward the left. The one with the billowing willow trees overhanging its shores. Do you see how crystal blue that water is? Look how the sunlight glints off its surface, making it appear as though tiny diamonds are appearing on a mythical carpet. Appearing here, and then disappearing, and reappearing in a new spot on the crystal canvas.

Do you see how bright and sunny it is here? Can you see the other lake to the right? Isn’t it just as beautiful? Look at that enormous oak tree that seems to be standing guard over it. How its rich green leaves seem to wave at us as each time that warm breeze you can feel blows by. How the tree’s long shadow seems to be reaching across the ice blue surface of the lake, reminding us of a hand telling everyone to use caution.

Now take a moment to look beyond the lakes. Do you see how that gorgeous meadow is rising into the distance? How it seems to vanish into the blue horizon? It’s down this first hill, between those two lakes, and up into that meadow. It looks far I know. Can you feel that warm breeze washing over us more and more, and how lovely it smells? It’s coming from all those pink and white flowers that you see. They grow all through these hills and meadows, and you can do anything you wish. So let’s float slowly and absorb everything because we are seeing it for the very first time. When we get there, it’s lights out. Don’t try to run away.

Door One:

“Put all your friggin weight on it. Not just one foot, two! All your weight you imbecile!” Cleat yelled at his partner as he waved a bloodied hacksaw through the air with each enunciation. The helper Cleat was using really sucked. All Cleat needed was for somebody to stand on this dead guy’s chest while he cut his head off. There was no other way of keeping the body still as the blade was catching itself on bone and cartilage and Cleat was getting annoyed.

Cleat’s helper complied and he stepped up onto the dead mans chest. Holding his arms out to balance himself as he swayed his hips in anticipation of each push and drag of the saw. “Now ya got it.” Cleat almost whispered as he and his partner, now in unison, maintained a morbid rhythm. His eyes watched the blade as it began to further separate the material in his victims neck. Cleat felt as if he was being watched. You know the feeling. He quickly looked up his from his work and scanned his surroundings.

“Oh, it’s you. Well, I aint ready for you yet flap old buddy. I’ll let you know how this all plays out later.” He said calmly as he began to focus more intently on something that caught his interest. “Who is that flap? I haven’t seen that one before. You can leave that one with us, flap. We’ll make sure that one behaves.” Cleat said almost pleading. His arms were covered with blood up to his elbows. The handle on the hacksaw was sticky in his hand and he re-positioned it as he realized he wouldn’t be baby sitting today. He angrily went back to work on the body.

Well, that certainly was odd. These two guys are perfect examples. I catch them doing the oddest things sometimes. Can you believe I almost forgot about these guys? That’s why I had to build this place. Let’s leave them alone for a while and look down the hall. I just have to close and lock this door first. I don’t want these two guys wondering around.

Come this way. It is down this hall. I know it’s cold in here but there is a reason for it. I need this kind of atmosphere here because it is conducive to what these magical characters are all about. They wouldn’t feel that they could be themselves if it weren’t for this house. Here it is. I’ll let you lead the way this time. It’s ok, I’m right here. You are in no danger because, quite frankly, I need your help. I’ll explain in a bit, go ahead, open the door.

Door Two:

Timmy rolled the Marlboro cigarette between his right index finger and thumb. Back and forth as he watched the tobacco fall out of its pristine white casing of paper. “This is going to be great!” He thought to himself as a slight grin appeared on his cheeks. He could hardly wait. This just might be the best one yet.

He remembered back to a few things he had done and laughed within himself. When he had peed into a little cup, and when nobody was looking, he poured it into his Dad’s coffee. His Dad came down the stairs saying something to his mother about work as he absent mindedly chugged his coffee and hurried out the door. Oh that was grand. It was funny and he knew it. There were other things, but right now he had to get his current project done.

He pulled the Black Cat firecracker out of his pocket and snipped the fuse off flush with the top of the explosive. That way, when it got lit, it would explode right away. No waiting with this one. He slid the firecracker into the empty cigarette, careful to keep the fused side toward the lighting end of the cigarette. He then poured the tobacco in after it, so as to conceal the firecracker. He inspected his final product. It was perfect. He compared it with one that wasn’t tampered with. Perfect. You couldn’t tell the difference. He slid them both back into the pack and left his loaded one out a little. So that would be the first one taken. He placed the pack back on the table precisely where he had found it.

He walked to the end of the garage and busied himself with some toys there. He just had to wait now, and that was no problem for Timmy. No problem at all. It only took a couple of minutes for his mother to appear from the side door. Timmy reflected on how quickly his mother appeared and realized he could’ve been caught. He dropped himself a mental note to remember to tighten up his game.

Sorry for the interruption, but the rest will be in the next post. Awful I know.

“Timmy, honey, are you hungry yet?” His mother’s voice ever so soothing caressed his ears. He pretended not to hear and kept playing. Timmy watched intently out of the corner of his eye as his mother slid the loaded cigarette out of the pack and placed it in her pink wet lips. “Pretty soon we’re gonna go to the store, ok?” She said as she fumbled for her lighter. It would be real soon now. Timmy’s breathing slowed, as did his busy hands, and he concentrated on what he was watching from the corner of his eye. His mother flicked the lighter once, then twice. There it was, a perfect little flame. She slowly brought the flame to the front of her cigarette as she sucked air through it. There was a wild flash and deafening noise.

Timmy saw it all. That thing blew up right in her face! He looked at his mother with concern but inside he was jumping for joy. It worked perfectly! A small portion of her hair was on fire and her mouth was bleeding. She had black scorch marks around her lips in a perfect circle that made her appear as if she was perpetually surprised. It was grand! What was that? Oh my. It couldn’t be. Her two front teeth were missing! How awesome is that? He watched with concern but inside he was laughing. “Mommy are you ok?” he questioned timidly. She fell back into her chair with her hands up and couldn’t move or see. A smoke circle puffed out of her agape mouth.

Timmy knew he would get away with this. Anything he did, he got away with. It was that easy. His parents had him to specialist after specialist and all of them agreed that Timmy was special. He should not be treated harshly and should be given all the freedom he felt he needed. “Punishing or spanking this child will seriously affect his psyche. He is special in this regard and should be free from harsh treatment of any kind.” The doctors had told them. His parents complied. Oh they complied with the doctors wholeheartedly. Timmy would test their resolve. That much he was sure of.

Something was bothering Timmy. He turned slowly and gazed into the dark area of the garage. “Flap! You came back for me. Can we play now? Who is your buddy? Can your buddy stay with me and watch me flap? Pleeeeeeze?” He looked away angrily and got back into character as he worriedly watched his blown up mother’s face .

Yes I agree. He is a little tyrant. A product of society? I don’t know, but let’s leave him here because this is one I certainly cannot afford to let escape. Let’s lock him in correctly now. Ok, down the hall we go and one more door.

Door Three:

You see? Nothing. All white walls and absolutely nothing here. I had this one set up because I know it will be occupied soon. You see I feel something being fabricated in the back of my mind. There are little bits and pieces here and there but I just cannot connect them together yet. I know they will connect shortly, and I will have yet another room to tend to, but this is a choice too. The one nobody saw coming. You understand now we have to make a decision as to what story we’ll finish. Will it be Cleat and his moronic partner? What put them in that position anyway? Or will it be little devious Timmy working on his ignorant parents? What is that boy capable of? Or will it be the one nobody saw coming? That’s one I cannot even begin to elaborate on right now. Anyway, it’s your choice. Which one will it be?

This is not collaborative writing. So if you want to see the whole story of one of these choices, please submit a post saying which one you would like to see. It's not something that you have to add to or anything, just a post about which one you would like to see.

Just wondering if anyone even saw this thing. It is kind of a bummer to think you had a good idea but then it turns out you dont. Lesson learned alright. Thanks.

Jackflap, I feel as though I have floated into a little house of horrors.lol.

This is very, very, creative and I enjoyed reading every minute of it, even as you were taking us on our tour. Well......of course I want to see what is going to happen in the clean, freshly painted white room. I'm curious, particularly as it is said we never saw it coming.

I hope you will finish this, I want to see what happens.

Great story, keep it coming!

S&F!

Great story...just checking back to see if the secret in the white room has been revealed.

I would be open to discovering what more happens to Timmy?

(Is he an Indigo?)

Thank you so much ladyinwaiting! I am working on filling the white room, you will not be disappointed. As for Timmy, we can work him in there too. I am curious to see what lengths he will go to myself!

Edited to add that yes, I believe little Timmy is an indigo. Charming isn't he?

Thank you Jacqua. I would like to offer you the choice of what story you would like to see in whole. Cleat and his simple partner, Timmy with his "special" little problem. I've already completed the one nobody could see coming. It is about Jonah. A Biblical figure. You will find the link above and the name of that story is No God, I am right, and You are wrong. Thank you for replying Jacqua!

The key to door one is right here. I used the writing contest to get door one finished. I believe I have one more to do.

This story almost put me to sleep. That is good because I'm trying to go to sleep within the next hour or so.
