Ok, so I didnt actually see this myself

But a very good friend did and I know they're not photoshopped-

Has anyone seen anything like this before?

Apparently it 'hovered' in the [night] sky (over a ridge) for about 2 hours.

For people that may not know where Nimbin is, it's in NSW and is in the country- nowhere near a city

Hope they come out haven't posted a pic here before.

Well considering where you are, this could be a pic of Min Mins. They are famous in QLD and also in SA.

thanks for the replies

Nimbin is practically in QLD as the crow flies-

I'm not right up on the Min Min- are they known as the Min Min lights? I'm kinda new to this, though have always believed in life on other planets

Yes they are one and the same.
Yeah thats why I said being where you are, your border line.
There really isnt a lot of information out on these guys, in fact I think there has only been a book or two written on them.
I will have a look around and see if I can find my old links on them.
But if you google it, I think there is an article in one of the New age mags thats hanging around.

When were these taken?

I was in Grafton a couple of weeks ago and looking north there was a multi-coloured object that looked like lights flashing in a rotating pattern. I didn't have binoculars and couldn't make it out clearly enough, but it could have been what you pictured. It definitely wasn't an aircraft because it didn't cross the sky, just stayed still.

Nimbin is north of there.

The photos look amazing and seem authentic.
And also look similar to a UFO over the UK a while back.

As for Nimbin, NSW, Australia... it's a famous hippy marijuana town.
And if Humans are lounging around smoking weed
more so than other parts of Australia,
it might explain why some UFOs come in close to look
wondering about the different lifestyles.

Thanks Seeker
- will take a look there for sure too-

Hi Heff

About a month ago? and yes Grafton isn't that far from Nimbin really- this didn't cross the sky either, it 'hovered' in the one place- my friend watched it for about two hours and took pics but went back inside and didn't see it leave-

Gotta go- if anyone else comes here, not being rude! - bbl

Yes Nimbin is Oz's version of Amsterdam.......... it's very quiet out there

Is there a pic of the one that looked similar in the UK? or a thread here about it?

I've honestly been looking through youtube for 30 minutes for you, to find that particular clip, and to back up my word too, but I just can't find it right now.

Anyway this is an amazing collection of footage with some similar ...

Great clip, I hadn't seen alot of that footage and can see a few there that were similar to my pic-

Seeker I bookmarked that site looks interesting even if I haven't had any luck finding the article

Hi there.

This is amazing. I've been looking for images that even half resemble what we've seen down there. My boyfriend and I saw a single red light floating over Nimbin whilst at the retreat.
We called 3 other people over that we knew, to verify what we were seeing.
As we were standing in awe of it, after about 2 minutes, it made sudden tiny movements and seemed to just black out. We were shocked, all gasping and laughing in astonishment.

It was probably about 10x the size of the larger stars, from our perspective.

But there seems to be problems with people believing you, especially in Nimbin, on the first weekend of May. But out of 5 that saw that light, less than half were under any influence.

The year before (2012) there was a story going around about a similiar experience, followed by alot of skeptisism.

Some believed us, the closed minded didn't.

I'm really happy to see this.

It's hard to say for sure but the images look to me like they may be of a star , the streaking caused by movement of the camera .
