Being a Pagan, my beliefs are not centered on dogma or a man made book. I do not call what I believe the only way, nor do I think it is for everyone. If not believing in anything or believing in a book makes them happy, who am I to judge?

Live and let live, and in the end leave a little tip (from Frank Zappa).

I like that. Your someone i respect because you accept opinions unlike most religions. I just choose to not believe it makes me a lot happier and to me its a lot more logical.

OP...it's all about faith. I have faith in God. I don't have faith in religion or any bull# that comes with it.

If you don't have faith that is certainly fine. It took me a long time to come to mine.

If you are truly content with your beliefs, why do you create a thread like this in order to lure religion in just to pounce on and bash the idea of it. You don't seem to be very open minded yet you call others closed minded. It seems like you are just playing negative psychological games on purpose. With that said, I hope there are no hard feelings. Do atheists have spiritual feelings? If so, what about? Do you believe this is all just an illusion? I don't really understand what an atheist believes. Do they all believe the same way?

I just wanted to let others know what i believe and if they dont want to post and have me react to them then they do not have to. im sorry for those that i offend but opinions are accepted here and so are responses to those opinions.

I actually thought about this and i wouldnt say i am an atheist but i dont believe in god or satan or heaven or hell. I hope something happens that doesnt involve someone being judged for not believing. If you believe in the wrong religion then your going to hell in christianity how can they say that like they know they are believing in the right one. I believe something is after but i dont know what. but i strongly believe that there is no heaven or hell.

I don't believe there is one and only one right religion, (and each and everyone thinks it is their religion). I think that happens quite a bit and I don't see how they can be that pious, it is wrong, and I believe it drives a lot of people from religion. But religion is not what is important, it is just a vehicle which man uses to express his relationship with his higher power.
I certainly hope I am not judged to harshly, cause I am gonnna be in trouble.

Hey OP!

A fine question. Do yourself a favor (which you already have) and don't listen to folks who will tell you they know the only truth and that you are wrong.

I am a Pagan who follows the goddess Isis. I believe I know my path and I have spoke to her myself. The problem is that I cannot prove it and frankly I won't try because you are just as right as I am. One of the issues with fundamentalists is there is a huge bit of confusion on an important subject.

Fundamentalists have a personal truth. That truth is enough to sustain them and yet they believe their personal truth is actual concrete truth. The problem is that their stories are never going to be concrete. They tell you that they have proof that Jesus walked the Earth but it just doesn't exist. A holy book is still a book and any book can be faked. Some historical documents saying God walked the Earth but that means little to actual proof. My book says Isis roamed the Earth but I can never prove it. I have my faith, they have theirs and you have yours. No I am not saying Atheism is a religion but the fact is you have your truth and I will be damned if I am going to tell you that you are wrong.

So...be yourself and that is what I will respect...be arrogant like a fundamentalist...well I can't respect it honestly. The holy Bible teaches to be humble but when this arrogance arises you just do the right thing, nod and walk away.

Well done OP

-Kyo
